A really neat and unusual Christmas story for you today. Parker Fennelly the "Howdy Bub" & Peppridge Farm remembers guy stars in a story he wrote himself. From December 21, 1940 Your Humble Host happily brings you this "Listener's Playhouse" production of "Christmas At Crumps". A little girl visits an old crotchety man on Christmas Eve and magic happens. A really wonderful tale here and quite moving too. Listen and enjoy this Christmas treat from the Library of Sound Volume 264.

Your Humble Host is here with our 2nd new Christmas special this year, Volume 10! We've been listening to Great Gildersleeve's this year from 1951, following each week till lo and behold this month and December of 1951 were in sync. Gildy did 3 different Christmas specials in '51 and so we'll have 3 different Christmas Specials here too. This is the 2nd Christmas '51 show from December 19th of that year and the 3rd Christmas Gildy show of '51 will be on our 3rd Christmas Special Volume 11 & it's coming right around the corner.

Today we find Gildy wanting to buy his girlfriend Paula just the right gift. But what could it be? Gildy is inspired finally and knows. It's the traditional Christmas episode they did each year but every time they did it it was always just a bit different.

It's Christmas time and that means Jack Benny, that cheap guy (but not in real life) has returned to the department stores to shop for last minute presents. Last year Jack shopped for shoelaces for Don, this year, well there's no telling. At least not by me. Your Humble Christmas Host is happy to bring you one of the funniest guys on radio, Jack Benny in a Christmas show originally broadcast December 21, 1947.
