The Hawks kicked off their season inside Kinnick this past weekend with a very lackluster 7-3 victory over the jackrabbits. Sadly, an entire off season of waiting and hoping that the Hawkeye offense would be better looks to be a lost cause. Issues are still there, and potentially worse, spanning almost every offensive position group, and the problems are being exacerbated by a not fully healthy roster. Spencer Petras, one of the hot topic items for the last 3 years, appears to be much of the same, isn't getting help, and is leaving fans wanting basically anything else.
