  • Season 6, Episode 24: Interview with Tonya Bludsworth (Deputy Linda Tweed) from “The Taking of Deborah Logan” (2014)

What an interview! Such a huge honor and pleasure to sit down with such a talented actress… Hang out with Tonya and me as we go deep into the mines to talk about the incredible behind-the-scenes stories from the set, her character’s arc, how she was able to ground herself through the intense sequences, working along side the legendary Jill Larson, plus much more.

Overall, The Taking of Deborah Logan is one of the most chilling, claustrophobic, and genuinely terrifying found-footage horror films of the last decade. This film blindsided horror fans everywhere, turning a heartbreaking medical documentary into an absolute nightmare.

  • Season 6, Episode 23: Interview with Dari Lynn Griffin (Maude) from “No One Will Save You” (2023)

Starring as Maude, Dari Lynn portrays the character whose tragic history serves as the emotional engine for the entire plot, fueling the isolation and guilt felt by Kaitlyn Dever's Brynn.

In a film famously devoid of spoken dialogue, her performance relied on pure visual storytelling and the heavy weight of memory. We talked about the challenges of acting without a script, building a tragic childhood backstory through flashbacks, and what it was like being at the center of an alien invasion that was as much about grief as it was about extraterrestrials.

Our sincere thanks to Dari Lynn Griffin for taking the time to discuss her pivotal role as Maude and the unique experience of filming No One Will Save You. If you haven't seen the film yet, it is a must-watch for any fan of innovative sci-fi and it’s still streaming on Hulu.

  • Season 6, Episode 22: Interview with Anastasia Washington (Becky) from the comedy-horror “Grind” (2026)

I was thrilled to sit down with the incredibly talented Anastasia Washington—a creative force who seamlessly blends sharp comedy with visceral horror. We dove into the 4-part anthology which took a look at the toxic nature of late-stage capitalism, hustle culture, and the gig economy, all while exploring profound themes like Black women's rage.

She said, and I paraphrase: “The reason she makes movies is to start conversations.” I would like to know from the audience what would spark your conversation after watching this movie.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Anastasia Washington for sharing her insights on Grind, blending horror with comedy, and starting such important conversations. Be sure to follow Anastasia on her official social platforms to keep up with her latest releases. If you enjoyed this piece, please share it with your fellow film fans.

  • Season 6, Episode 21: Interview with Theresa Tilly (Shelly) from “The Evil Dead” (1981)

The Evil Dead. Released in 1981, what started as an exhausting passion project among friends eventually transformed into a foundational pillar of modern horror cinema.

Dig up the dead with Theresa and I as we journey back to 1981 to speak about her role in the legendary movie, The Evil Dead, alongside starring Bruce Campbell, Betsy Baker, and Richard DeManincor. We discussed her raw experiences on that infamous set, the punishing reality of the practical effects, and the enduring, blood-soaked legacy of a film that refused to stay buried.

Who would have known that this movie would be influential for remakes involving the franchise? Evil Dead (2013), Evil Dead Rise, and Evil Dead Burn; all stemming from the original which still resonates with fans today worldwide and still one of the biggest franchises to stay connected with the horror community.

  • Season 6, Episode 19: Interview with Arnold Chun (Kotomichi) from “The Man in the High Castle” (2015-2019)

The Man in the High Castle is a dark, often uneasy look at what might have been with so many likelihoods. I had the honor and pleasure to sit down with Arnold Chun who portrays “Kotomichi” a character who was the quiet heart of that show. He and I peeled back the onion to reveal the concept of the show and the brilliant mind of the creator. Although there is a fine line between what is real and what is the alternate timeline, the line is not invisible, and this show is the prime example of what could happen if that line is crossed.

I cannot empathize enough how much I love this show; it’s the ensemble of actors, the dialogue, the story line, the plot twists, the what ifs, the production and more importantly, how this series changed everything we knew about that era. Overall, it is a magnificent work of science fiction and alternate history, meaning it imagines a scenario where historical events played out differently.

The Man in the High Castle is now streaming on Netflix, Prime Video, and Apple TV.

  • Season 6, Episode 18: Interview with Fabianne Therese (Macy) from “Dolly” (2025)

Join me and Fabianne as we examine the boundaries of the psychological horror genre through a lens that is as visually striking as it is narratively disturbing. Fabianne portrays a woman forced to navigate a terrifying domestic delusion—has been lauded for its raw vulnerability and fierce survival instinct.

We spoke about the psychological aspects of the film and how her character has to face the harrowing ordeal of being abducted and kept in a confined space during the filming. However, and despite what she faced, she has earned the title of “Final Girl” in the horror community, one of the best honors bestowed on an actress.

There are many takeaways for the audience. What’s your takeaway? Is it the same as Fabianne’s or do you have your own?

  • Season 6, Episode 16: Interview with Hugh Ross (Narcisse) in Clive Barker’s “Nightbreed” (1991)

**PLEASE TURN UP THE VOLUME TO HEAR THIS INTERVIEW**

Go underground with me and Hugh to Midian as we dove back into the history of Clive Barker’s Nightbreed as the legendary actor had so much to say about his character, Narcisse.

We spoke about his character’s presence in the film and how it had a huge impact on the horror community. His iconic scene in the psychiatric hospital, where his character peels his face off has been deemed as a memorable moment in horror history. Hugh delivered this role flawlessly; Narcisse is still a beloved character, and we think it has some type of connection with those who are looking to be accepted. With a loyal and endearing nature, how could you not love Narcisse?

  • Season 6, Episode 15: Interview with Katy Wilson (Nancy) in “Slanted” (2025)

Picture a world where you could trade in your face for a 'stock photo' version of perfection just to win a high school popularity contest. I am talking about the film that absolutely dominated SXSW in 2025, taking home the Grand Jury Prize.

I had the absolute best time speaking to Katy about her role in Slanted. We spoke about her character’s transformation and how she was able to maintain the balance between the broad, the satire, and the genuine horror of the surgery’s aftermath.

Even though the Director, Amy Wang, created this movie from personal experience, I am sure that collaborative process was genius and flawless while preserving the film’s heightened sense of reality.

For everyone who watches or listens, if you want to see a movie that will make you laugh, cringe, and totally rethink the concept of 'fitting in,' you have to check out Slanted. Don’t forget to subscribe!
