This was a draft for the longest time.  There was some disagreement about posting this one back in August.  Alcohol might have been involved.  Hence the first line.  We are leaving it intact because it's us, and why not?  Anyway, we're still talking about paracord here, and angsts ensue.

Hello, and welcome to Southern Missouri Patriots.  Tonight we just drink and go from one topic to the other.  We did not get as drunk as we were hoping to.  However, ol' Captain Jack wasn't up to his usual self.  Hernia's are painful.  That aside, we had no topic tonight and wandered from subject to subject based on feedback from our live stream.  Unfortunately our internet connection was not cooperating and it was best we just cut it short.  All that aside, we still had a fun time.

Tonight we go over some foraging tips, and pass along information about common 'weeds'.  Also, we talk about some of the foraging apps we use, along with the books, and websites for more tips and knowledge.  Again, we are not the experts on this, but we know where to find the information at.

Hello, and welcome to Southern Missouri Patriots.  Tonight we talk about water collection, storage, and filtration.  There is a lot that goes into water storage, and we glazed over a lot.  However, what we did go over is important to get you all started.  Be sure to listen.

We also went off on a rant, and answered fan's questions as we are live streaming while we are recording the podcast.  The questions lead us in some really good directions.  There are things we talked about that you need to hear.  If you're noticing the shelves are starting to get bare out there, even at big box stores.  If you haven't start prepping, beware that it might be getting too late to get started.  This isn't chicken little, this is turning into reality.  Get what you can now, before you're stuck.  We want you to be prepared for what looks like is on the horizon.

No, our illustrious leader did not actually leave town.  He had Captain Jack things that needed to be done, and asked us to proceed without him.  Dear God, does that mean Lieutenant Dan will have to actually talk?  Yep, and talk he does.  We had plans to do hardtac but it didn't quite go that way.  That's the problem with three jobs, at some point you just can't get it all done.  That being said, we kind rambled on things tonight.  We mostly talked about food we can make in the kitchen that feeds the body, even if it doesn't taste all that great.

Captain Jack will be back, loud as ever, and the band will march on.  See you folks on the next one.

Hey everyone, tonight we went over the topic of bug out and home return bags.  Yes, there is a difference between the two.  At the end of the day, each have their own purpose.  Also, each one is personal.  Whatever you do, don't over-pack.  Be deliberate in what you need.

Medication, water, and then whatever else you absolutely need from there.  Don't over think it.

Also, have an evacuation plan.  Then make a second one.  After those two are made, make a third one.

We had to address the issues, quickly, tonight.  We're not done by a long shot.  There's a lot to go over here, and we hit the highlights tonight.  Captain Jack is the only one of us who served over there, so we leave the details to him.  This is a huge slap in the face of gold-star families, veterans, active duty, and everyone who left their lives, blood, or loved ones over there.  WE ARE NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS AT ALL!  More to come so stay tuned.

Both of these are huge topics, too large to cover in 30 minutes.  However, we did them justice as best we could.  We cover debris, poncho, A-frame, lean-tos, mud and snow shelters.  Also, we talk about the general guidelines on making your own fire starters, and what it takes to build a fire.

There's so much to cover in both of these topics.  With that being said, we're going to get you all videos of some, certainly not all, of these types of shelters and fires.  Be ready for those.
