The “Space is Fake” community emerged on the internet with various hashtags and common internet tropes/memes. The idea alleges that our current understanding of reality is grossly mistaken.

Many different groups disagree on HOW exactly it is that space is fake, but share the common idea that space is in fact not “real”.

It has been purported that space is actually the following (among others): 

(1) a government creation to better control the populace. 

(2) merely a part of a simulation we all live in. 

(3) simply photoshopped images we have all been lied to about.

Herein, we investigate these allegations and discuss the possibilities being reported by the “Space is Fake” community.
