At times I frustrate Milka because I use phrases that are not common in her country of Cuba.

Today is Milka's birthday so we celebrate by recording a quick episode about su fecha de nacimiento! Vocabulario: 1.  Feliz Cumpleaños -- Happy Birthday! 2.  Pobreza -- Poverty. 3  .Niñez-- Childhood. 4.  Regalar -- To gift (to give a gift). 5.  Nos Reunimos --  We got together.

Today we talk about the upcoming event of celebrating's Mia's fifteenth birthday.  A very important day that marks the transition from being a child to a young woman in many Latin cultures.  I must admit in several parts of this podcast I incorrectly refer to this event as a festivo, but the correct term is simply festejo or fiesta.

Vocabulario:

Festejo, Fiesta -- Party.

Festivo -- Holiday.

Maquillaje -- Makeup.

Pintar --  To color (hair) or to put makeup.

Vestidos -- Dresses.

Tirar fotos -- To take photos.

Virando -- Going back.

Escojer viaje -- To choose a trip.
