In March 2015, a car carrying 25-year-old Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck and her 18-month-old daughter, Lily, plunged off a bridge into the icy Spanish Fork River in Utah. The crash went undiscovered for nearly 14 hours—until local fishermen spotted the overturned vehicle. When four police officers arrived to investigate, each would later report hearing a distinct female voice calling for help. The voice led them to the wreckage, where they found Lily still alive, suspended upside-down in her car seat just inches above the freezing water. Her mother had died on impact.
