Sometimes we want our tabletop roleplaying games to be more than just combat. We want to engage out players in other ways. Ways that will engage their problem solving minds, and encourage team work. I'm joined by Wall DM and Matt Costin to talk about Puzzles in D&D and our tabletop games: What do puzzles look like in a TTRPG sense? Why should Game Masters use puzzles? How do we create puzzles? We talk about these questions and more in this episode!

D&D isn't a perfect system. And in recent times, how the "Races" in the game operate and the language and lore around them have been the topic of much controversy. But, the publisher has begun to introduce rules to help begin addressing the issues that exist within the game rules. In this episode I'm joined by Christy Clow, and Eugene Marshall from Arcanist Press (author of "Ancestry & Culture: An Alternative to Race in 5e") to talk about Race in D&D5e. I highly recommend checking out the book Eugene has created, they are some great rules!

Our host, (and always has been) Niki DeGoey, is joined today by Chelsea Driver and Natalie Voorn to talk about being D&D Adjacent. None of them play Dungeons and Dragons, and so they talk about how the ttrpg playing habits of their significant others affect their lives, as well as their own nerdy interests! This is an April Fool's day episode, so hopefully you're not here to learn about playing D&D, but it's still a lot of fun!

Today we are talking the type of NPC that we love to hate! Villains! They are the opponents to our players, and whether a Villain is well made can impact your entire game. I'm joined by Nic Casali, Ryan Worthing (The Fantastic Fiend) and Logan Cracknell (LCKraken) to talk about Villains. What are some common villain archetypes? How do you create a compelling villain? We answer these questions and more in this episode!

When we make characters for tabletop roleplaying games, most every system will give them a "job" or "role". In D&D, this is called a "Class". Teni is joined by Matt Costin, and Twitch streamers/D&D Players in the Dungeon Select crew: KoibaRNG, SirDuke33, and Socoler to talk about Character Classes. We talk about our opinions of classes, our preferred playstyles, why some classes are our favorites, and more!

On this episode of the Speak Dicely podcast, Teni is joined by Dallis, Jason and Logan to talk about Trust in Tabletop Roleplaying games. There are conversations about their own stories of trust, moments where trust was strong and weak, and how to help your table trust each other. Of course, it is easier to have trust at a table where everyone knows each other, but how do you build trust between a table of players who don't? All this and more in this episode!
