Speak Dicely

Our guests from the previous episode return to talk about how they prepare their characters for a long-term campaign! How can your characters fit into the world? What works thematically? Do you start with a character concept, or do you start looking at a character mechanically? This and more in this episode!

How do you prepare yourself to play in a D&D game? What should a group talk about in order to make the basis for a good story and setting? What kind of collaboration can players do with their Dungeon Master to create grounded characters? Can the players integrate each other into their backstories? These questions and more as Teni and his guests talk while they wait to go play D&D.

Teni is joined by Michael Piscitelli, and returning guests Dallis Mackenzie and Matt Costin to discuss character relationships! They discuss the different types of relationships that exist in Tabletop Roleplaying games, and how much trust is involved in these types of relationships. There are plenty of D&D stories as they had all played in campaigns together, and plenty of examples of how their characters interact with each other!

We're back at it again, talking about Roleplay in ttrpgs! Teni is joined by actors Jesse Beam, Dallis Mackenzie, and Ryan Worthing to get their perspective on Roleplay based on the fact that they also act as a profession. We talk about how they approach roleplay, how their backgrounds affect how they play, and we offer advice on how to roleplay well!

Teni is joined by Logan Cracknell (LCKraken), Matt Costin and Niki Degoey to talk about their first time experiences being a Dungeon Master! We hear different stories of first time games, we give tips for DMs based on the mistakes we made in our early games, and Niki talks about her Animal Crossing one-shot she designed with Teni as her first time experience! You can create most anything in tabletop rpgs!

On this episode of the Speak Dicely podcast, Teni is joined by Anthony Saul and Christy Clow to talk about roleplaying in Dungeons and Dragons. They also talk about how Flaws, Bonds, Ideals and Personality Traits can help you support your roleplaying, and how acting and roleplaying are different.
