In conversation with Donald Molosi again.
Donald has launched his production company Cattlepost Films, and the first project to produce is the Botswana short film, Partly Cloudy and Hot. The film unpacks and challenges the narrative around male infertility in Botswana.
We also delve into the deliberate attempt to cancel artists, activists, and truth seekers.
' Sad that just for us to be heard in our house, we have to scream at the neighbours' yard first'.
*In reference to the conversation about Justice Unity Dow., Donald meant to say "expelled" instead of "forced out".

International WomXns Day- is it a celebration?
So many womXn live in fear and cannot live and speak their truths.
Our bodies are ridiculed, and when we dare to stand up to the patriarchy, we are harassed and intimidated, and many of us are murdered.
So what is there to celebrate?
Putting love first for all our children and family members and friends regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity or expression
Love for our children, sisters, brothers, cousins, mothers, fathers, etc, who are LGBTI will ensure that the community and the society at large learn to love them, cherish them, and accept them as human beings.
Discrimination, rapes, and assaults of LGBTI people will be history and no parent will lose a child or siblings lose a brother or sister because of horrendous hate crimes which force LGBTI people to live a lie by becoming who they are not just because they want to spare their lives.

We recieve so many levels of betrayal, erasure, and abuse from society, could we try not to bring that into our personal spaces?
We deserve honesty, love, and all things delicious.
Smashing the patriarchy includes us unlearning negative ways of harming human beings.
Stand tall and raise our rainbow flag but take accountability for how we treat each other.
We are all learning, we make mistakes and that's when we can break those evil chains.
We know that it's a journey that we all need to participate in, work in, and hold each other accountable.
Support the small safe spaces that are making strides on their own.
Be gentle with yourselves and celebrate your successes.

TRIGGER WARNING!!!!
OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE!!!
At 5 am on a Saturday, we had a home invasion, and I discovered the thief halfway through my kitchen window, perched on the sink.
I found the strength to shout and order him to get out.
My loud screaming and being fearless at that moment scared him, it could have cost my life, but it did not.
He scuffled away like a dirty rat.
Yes, I give thanks for my life, but I am also allowed to feel the fear, pain, anger, and other emotions attached.
Healing as a warrior, I have been intentional in accepting my vulnerability.
Giving thanks to family and support and now finding coping mechanisms to pick up the pieces.
Be realistic with your situation and the healing that you need. All of it is valid.
