Ms. Black Pearl:
The Original, The One, The Only. Ms. Black Pearl
I am the only Black Pearl.
Search my name, and you’ll find echoes,
homonyms in the digital sea—
but there is only one.
Original. Unrepeated.
Ms. Black Pearl
I was born under
Carter’s sun,
a Gen X soul with politics already pulsing in my veins
on an Election Day in ’76.
A love child, a precious gift in a world quick to judge.
Before Reading Rainbow, words were walls.
ADHD and dyslexia—silent, unseen storms.
Speech impediment, but poetry?
Poetry spoke for me.
It was my first true friend.
At five, the night sky gifted me a vision:
a rainbow arcing over a full blue moon.
I discovered my first
Scale.
It wasn't about fortune. It was protection.
Sometimes
The creator will use you
as a test of his mission
Where
An unseen force,
Will come against
You, but the creator’s decree,
made me untouchable.
That’s when I heard it—the musical language of the universe.
My spectrum was not in daylight, but in the waves of sound.
We were the latchkey generation.
Seen, but never heard.
The 10 PM announcements would ask,
“Have you seen your child?”
The streets were our school, hustled our homework.
We held creativity tight—our most vital tool.
Innovation was our inheritance.
And through it all, a chorus rooted in my spirit:
You are who you are.
I am who I am.
My own best friend.
My moral compass. My own circle.
From right to left, sunrise to sundown—
I am Black Pearl.
I rise. I fell.
I never claim
I am not a genius.
And by surprise,
like the air I breathe, like the new day unfolding,
I rise again.

"I am Black Pearl (Black Pearl~The Real McCoy). And like my namesake, I am a rare manifestation.
According to Tahitian legend, the Black Pearl is the only pearl that can naturally occur in that stunning, dark hue. It is an organic gem, born from the ocean, exotic and unique. This name is more than a brand; it's a legacy. It’s a trademark that came to life not just as a clever idea, but as an identity for a particular, exquisite woman. Imagine a little girl, adorned with her first necklace. Even as a child, in her baptism gown, people would notice. They would glance down, and then stop… and look again, their eyes questioning the lustrous shine they saw that pearl, born from an oyster, began its era during the age of disco, Parisian trends, and vogue-elegant fashions. It was a gift to a young, attractive mother—a most uncommon, pure spirit in the post-baby boom generation. She is a Homo sapiens with authentic, hyper-empathetic emotions, her life crafted into published art. Her name… is Black Pearl. The real McCoy and this… is my podcast."

You are listening to the space between. The quiet breath between thoughts. This is Spectrum Sound Bites.
Where the roots of a poet tree dig deep into the soil of experience, and its branches reach out, not for sunlight, but for frequency. For resonance.
What you’re hearing now… consider it the tide coming in. A wave theme, not just of water, but of connection. It harmonizes the flow. Of trees. Of thoughts. Of tracks.
And in that flow, we find our interludes.
This next sequence… a curated breath within the album. Two, maybe three tracks that exist in that sacred space between the notes of a louder narrative. They are not introductions, and not quite conclusions. They are the interlude. And the outro-lude. The transition itself, given a melody.
A moment to listen to what the silence is really saying.
So let the wave carry you. From the shore of one idea, to the deep of another.
This is Black Pearl, inviting you into the next pulse of the spectrum. Let it begin.
(The wave theme instrumental peaks gently, then seamlessly transforms into the first featured track.)

(The stage is bare. A single strip of CAUTION TAPE is draped over a chair. The SPEAKER enters, picks it up, and addresses the audience directly.)
SPEAKER
Happy holidays. Consider this your introduction to the caution tape.
The caution tape came back. Once again. And it’s due to the subject matter. This is a public broadcast service announcement, so I have to integrate a trigger warning.
I am unapologetic.
I am unbroken.
I am unfiltered.
And I promise… I won’t curse.
I’m going to provide blunt, straight talk3, Similar to my profile featuring on TikTok. You know what they say? A closed mouth never gets fed. Those were the clever words from my grand-nanny.
So I’m not holding back.
Allow me to toss away my caution tape… and land it in the trash.
There were certain events, situations… that should never have happened. I wish for familiar, innocent circumstances… those lives… would have existed anyway, Rip, for lives that made it through the struggle. But life must go on!
So let’s rewind the clock. Back to the beginning of 2025, until the end of this physical phase.
Press play. Let’s begin.
As far as we have seen, moral lives are being unprotected. There are three branches in Washington, D.C., the head transit station. Each plays a role that is to protect, serve, and uphold our Constitution, which we consider our bible.
So why are the mechanical birds non-functional? Why is everything so dysfunctional? Television is bribed to produce propaganda. Why those phony… attempts?
It’s like I once sang… from a tragic but poetic liberation. A publisher of spoken words is more like the Book of Psalms.
Titled… The Bullet.
Copyright @ 2023.
A slug… is considered an insect, created by nature. But the bullet, unfortunately, came branded with shell cases by a human’s hand. With a path of destructive behavior, while the cowards leave a toe tag with no label, the politicians take an oath, wear multiple armor pledge pins.
The bullet would eventually land on someone’s front door or public ground, with unapologetic tones. Season after season. For no good reason.
Here comes another demon.
Storms always start the insurrection. Never mind an unauthorized health inspection.
I will say it again: The middle and lower class… never… always get last dibs. The bad end of the stick by receiving improper, inaccurate protection.
Caution Tape… are you ready for more?
Next verse… listen as the tape rolls.

You shall see
It is what you

It has been sown

way down
Into our bones
From hands to
Our feet
We would never be

It was already done
By the rising of the sun,

We never lose
Feel it way deep down

It feeds us
