In this episode I chat to Kate from the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Kate Foster is a published Author of children's books, including "Paws", "The Bravest Word", "Harriet Hound" and "The Unlikely Heroes Club". She is also a late diagnosed Autistic.
I chat to Kate about what got her into writing, as well as speak about her books which all revolve around Autistic children, shining a positive spotlight on them whilst including her love of dogs. We explore why people on the spectrum tend to prefer and bond better with animals.
Kate goes into depth about her books as well as her reasons for writing them, a lot of which are based on real life events and experiences. We chat about depression and why it is so important to highlight it in a way that is helpful, not shameful.
Thank you so much for chatting with me, Kate! Your books are amazing and so are you!
