Spine-Chilling Chats

Perched on a hill in Louisville, Kentucky, Waverly Hills Sanatorium has a history as haunting as the stories that surround it. This week, Ang takes us back through the history of one of America's most infamous former tuberculosis hospitals, exploring the suffering, tragedy, and unanswered questions that helped build its eerie reputation. From its days as a sanatorium to the countless tales of paranormal activity reported within its walls, we'll dig into the spectral speculation and legends that continue to draw curious visitors. And to wrap things up, Ang shares real-life accounts from people who have walked the halls of Waverly Hills and experienced something they can't quite explain. Is Waverly Hills truly haunted, or is its dark history enough to make anyone feel like they're not alone?

**Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions of suicide.

You voted for haunted cemetery stories… so we took the show straight to the cemetery! AT NIGHT! And let’s just say, we may have made a few questionable decisions. This Halloween, Ang and Manda are diving headfirst into the eerie world of haunted burial grounds, restless spirits, and creepy encounters that might make you think twice before visiting a cemetery after dark. Ang takes us across the pond to Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh, Scotland, one of the world's most notoriously haunted cemeteries, known for its chilling legends and reports of paranormal activity. Meanwhile, Manda keeps things closer to home with Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles, Michigan, sharing the local lore and spooky stories surrounding this historic resting place. But that's not all! Ang reads true haunted cemetery stories shared by Reddit users, and things get a whole lot more unsettling when the girls attempt to keep their cool while filming alone in a creepy cemetery at night. Strange moments, nervous laughter, unexplained chills, and a whole lot of second-guessing themselves… was it just their imaginations getting the better of them, or was something else lurking in the darkness? You voted for this location, and after what happened, we're not sure you'll get to choose again next year!

One night at the Beeson Mansion, one medium, a whole lot of paranormal activity, and two best friends who may not be seeing eye to eye on what they experienced! In this episode of Spine-Chilling Chats, Ang and Manda are sharing all the details from their night at the Beeson Mansion with medium Exie Susanne Smith. From psychic readings that got things started to a ghost investigation that included a confirmed apparition, this night was anything but ordinary. We're talking unexplained lightheadedness, strange pressure around a shoulder blade, a dead bell that wouldn't stop ringing, and one spirit who apparently has a serious soft spot for Pamela Pumpkin. Yes, you read that right. Even in the afterlife, some spirits have their favorites! And, of course, Manda couldn't pass up another opportunity to remind Ang that she can see things Ang can't. Because apparently, being best friends means never letting your friend forget that ghosts seem to show up for you and not them. Was it the mansion's spirits making their presence known, or was there something else going on? Join us as we revisit a wild night full of readings, unexplained experiences, and plenty of moments that left us with more questions than answers.

This Halloween, we're trading tricks and treats for true crime. Join Ang and Manda as we dig into two disturbing cases where real-life horror turned Halloween into something far more sinister. First, we travel back to Halloween night in 1957, when Peter Fabiano answered his front door in Sun Valley, California, expecting one last trick-or-treater. Instead, he came face-to-face with a killer hiding behind a Halloween disguise. What happened that night would leave his family searching for answers and reveal a shocking motive behind his murder. Then, we head to Bellaire, Ohio, where September 30, 1995, brought tragedy to the Brooks family when 17-year-old Nathan Brooks brutally murdered his parents. The horrific crime sent shockwaves through the small community, and amid the fear and uncertainty that followed, the town canceled trick-or-treating that year. Two cases. Two communities forever changed. And a holiday that reminds us sometimes the scariest stories aren't the ones we make up. So settle in, Spooks, and join us as we uncover the dark side of Halloween on this episode of Spine-Chilling Chats. Keep it spooky! ⚠️⚠️Trigger Warning: This episode discusses murder, graphic violence, and the homicide of family members. Please take care while listening.

What happens when you combine the darkest corners of the internet with two women who probably should know better than to go looking for scary stories before bed? This week on Spine-Chilling Chats, Ang is diving into Reddit to uncover some of the scariest true stories people claim to have experienced. From unsettling encounters and unexplained happenings to stories that will have you checking the locks twice, these tales prove that sometimes the creepiest stories aren't found in horror movies, they're posted by strangers on the internet. Are these stories completely true? That's up for debate. But some of them are definitely creepy enough to make us wonder... what if they're real? So grab your headphones, turn off the lights (if you dare), and settle in as we dig through Reddit's darkest corners for stories that will leave you questioning what might be lurking just beyond the screen. Have you ever experienced something you couldn't explain? Tell us about it, we may just feature your story in a future episode!

We’re continuing our journey through the state of Kansas, and this week, Manda is taking us back to the 1870s to uncover the dark and twisted story of one of America’s most infamous murderous families: The Bloody Benders. Hidden away in Labette County, Kansas, the Bender family ran a small roadside inn where weary travelers could stop for a meal, a bed, and a little rest. But behind the walls of their home, something far more sinister was taking place. As travelers began disappearing along the Osage Trail, rumors and suspicions started to spread. When the truth finally began to surface, the Benders became the center of a horrifying tale involving murder, deception, and a family whose secrets would shock an entire community. Join Manda as she digs into the history of the Bloody Benders, the murders that made them infamous, and the mystery surrounding what happened to this terrifying family. What really went on inside the Bender home? And did the Bloody Benders truly get away with it? **Trigger Warning: This episode includes discussions of murder, including the murder of a child, sexual assault, and incest.

This week, Ang sits down with Manda to tell her all about the disturbing and twisted story of John Edward Robinson, a man whose crimes, manipulation, and deception would leave a horrifying trail of victims across Kansas and beyond. Known for presenting himself as an ordinary, trustworthy man, Robinson was anything but. As Ang digs deeper into his life, Manda learns how his web of lies and manipulation allowed him to prey on vulnerable women, and how investigators eventually began uncovering the horrifying truth hiding beneath the surface. From deception and financial schemes to murder, this is a case that will leave you questioning just how well we can ever truly know the people around us. So grab your headphones, Spooks, because Kansas Month is far from over, and this week's story is one you won't want to miss.
