For decades, the Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys was presented as a place of reform. A state-run institution meant to help troubled youth find their way. But behind its gates, a far darker reality existed. In this episode, Ang uncovers the horrifying truth about Dozier: a place where children were beaten, abused, exploited, and, in some cases, never made it home. Survivors, known today as the White House Boys, have come forward with chilling accounts of torture inside a building ominously called the White House, where screams were ignored and cruelty was routine. Many boys were sent there for minor offenses, some as young as six years old. As decades passed, their suffering was buried (literally and figuratively) until forensic excavations revealed unmarked graves and confirmed what survivors had been saying all along. Yet despite overwhelming evidence and testimony, no one has ever been held criminally accountable. Time, lost records, and the deaths of those responsible have ensured that justice may never come.
