There is a kind of tired that a sleep-in doesn't fix.
You know the one. You rest, you do the right things, you show up - and underneath it all there's still this quiet running on empty that just won't shift.
That's not you failing at self-care. That's your energy reserves telling you something true. And right now, on the eve of the Autumn Equinox - the 20th of March - the whole of nature is saying the same thing.
Slow down. Turn inward. Return to your roots.
In this week's episode of Spirit Flow I'm talking about Jing, Chi, and Shen - the three energy systems from traditional Eastern medicine that explain not just why you're tired, but what kind of tired you are. Because that distinction changes everything.
In this episode, you'll receive:
This one is a longer listen and it's worth every minute. Make yourself something warm. Find somewhere quiet. Let it land.

Many people believe exhaustion can be solved with a simple break. A day off. A sleep in. A weekend away.
But often something else is happening beneath the surface. You pause, yet the tension remains. The mind keeps racing. The body never fully settles.
In this episode of Spirit Flow, Tara explores a deeper truth about fatigue and burnout. Sometimes what we call exhaustion is actually a nervous system that has been functioning while overloaded for too long.
True restoration often requires more than rest - it requires recalibration. A chance for the body to release stored stress and return to its natural rhythm.
Through personal reflections, client stories and gentle nervous system insights, Tara shares how reconnecting with the body, the breath and the land can support true energetic renewal.
In this episode, you’ll receive:• Why burnout can persist even after rest
• Insight into how the nervous system carries hidden stress
• A reframe of rest versus nervous system recalibration
• The role grounding and nature play in restoring balance
• A simple nervous system reset practice

There is a kind of exhaustion that sleep does not fix. The kind that comes from constant input. From being available. From carrying the emotional, energetic and practical weight of a full life. You may still be functioning. You may even be thriving by every external measure. But somewhere inside, the signal has become faint.
In this episode of Spirit Flow, Tara explores solitude not as isolation, but as sacred return. Not the lonely kind. The soul kind.
Soul-itude is the quiet that brings you back to yourself. It is the pause that recalibrates your nervous system. The stillness that restores your inner compass. The space where you stop performing and start remembering who you are.
Because the truth is this: when life gets loud, your inner world often mirrors it. And if you do not intentionally create space, you slowly lose the ability to hear your own guidance.

There’s something different that happens when I record away from home. In this episode, I’m speaking from a small Airbnb two hours away, during one of my quarterly resets. Just me, a bath, a creek swim, long walks and no one needing anything from me. And from that spaciousness, something became very clear: Hard work is not the same as valuable work. For most of my life, I equated effort with worth. If I was busy, productive, delivering, pushing through exhaustion — I must be doing it right. But burnout has a way of dissolving illusions. And what I’ve come to see is this: Effort alone is not the currency. Alignment and leverage are.
In this episode of Spirit Flow by Tara Hegerty, Tara explores burnout through the lens of the energetic body — particularly the Root and Sacral chakras — and offers a grounded, practical invitation to recalibrate the way we work, give and create.

Grief has a way of arriving without asking permission. It moves into the body, into the breath, into the small in-between moments where life used to feel normal. And when it comes, it doesn’t just ask you to feel sad — it asks you to slow down, to listen, and to meet yourself more honestly than usual.
In this episode of Spirit Flow by Tara Hegerty, Tara speaks about grief as something far wider than death alone. Grief can be the ache of what ended, what changed, what never happened, or what you never quite received. She explores grief through the lens of the body, the nervous system, and frequency, offering a grounded perspective that helps you stop treating yourself like you are broken — and start understanding what is actually happening inside you.
This is a tender episode, recorded from lived experience, with gentle tools you can use right now if grief feels close.

What happens when you stop treating the Earth like a backdrop… and start relating to her like a living being?
In this episode of Spirit Flow by Tara Hegerty, Tara shares what unfolded during a recent gridwork gathering at the Coolum Caves on the Sunshine Coast.
A group gathered on ancient volcanic rock, opened their energy in a grounded way, and experienced a powerful shared activation - with repeated messages of trust, belonging, protection, and returning home to the body.
If you’ve been feeling called to connect with the land, explore energy lines, or understand what gridwork actually is (without the fluff), this episode is for you.

In this opening episode of The Work Of Us: Micro Moments, Tara Hegerty is joined by her husband, Al, to begin a new conversational series exploring partnership as a living, breathing system.
Rather than offering advice or ideals, this episode turns toward the subtle, often unseen moments that shape our relationships over time - the pauses, the tone of a response, the choice to soften instead of defend. These are the micro moments that quietly build safety, trust, and intimacy, or just as easily erode them.
This conversation invites listeners into a grounded, honest reflection on how relationships evolve not through grand gestures, but through daily awareness and repair.

Have you ever felt like you’re the only one doing the inner work while your partner seems to coast along? It’s something that’s been showing up again and again in client sessions — this sense of imbalance between two people walking the same path, but seemingly at different speeds.
In this episode of Spirit Flow, Tara Hegerty explores the energetic dynamics of co-creation within relationships — where one partner’s healing can ripple through the shared field, even when the other isn’t consciously doing the work. She shares what the universe is showing her about the sacred matrix that forms between two souls and how our individual vibration influences what we collectively manifest.
This conversation is a reminder that relationships are not just emotional or physical connections — they are energetic ecosystems. Every thought, intention, and emotion contributes to the shared field of creation. Through awareness, communication, and energetic sovereignty, we can bring greater harmony into our relationships and our manifestations.

Family wounds are rarely random — they are invitations. Invitations to look within, to meet the patterns that shaped us, and to remember the deeper work our souls came here to do.
In this episode of Spirit Flow, Tara Hegerty shares what she’s witnessing in her client sessions right now: a collective call to heal family fallouts, ruptures, and silences. Through the lens of the nervous system, ancestral healing, and energetic repair, Tara explores how family relationships become mirrors for our own growth.
This conversation offers both reflection and reassurance — a reminder that healing begins within us and that when one person shifts their energy, the entire family field begins to transform.
