Spirit of Truth/The Bible on Trial

Join Spirit of Truth Ministry for our program The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling, today May 20, 2023 at 10AM PDT. Why did God give two versions of End Time Prophecy to John? What was the purpose of God providing both a Death Road and Life Road plan for bringing this part of human existence to a close? Does End Time Prophecy have anything to do with what Jesus said about how the Kingdom of God affects the plan of salvation that is taught by the Christian church? If so, then how does what Jesus taught His own eyewitness disciples differ from what the Apostle Paul said was the way to eternal life? Find out the answers to these and many other important questions regarding what is the truth about Salvation, Judgment and the Kingdom of God, on: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

Anticipation~ "Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth." Rev. 3:9 (ESV). Well folks, it seem we are almost there. Almost where, you ask? Isn't everything going on as always? Yes, pretty much. Arn't there wars and rumors of wars still rampant in the world? Yep, you bet! Isn't money becoming worth less than ever, and becoming more difficult to not only earn but actually get from your bank in physical form? Absolutely. Arn't the social norms surrounding the differences between men and women becoming more and more objectified as being out of place in the modern world of sexual identity?  All of these things point to a big change that is taking place not only here in America, but around the world. These changes are relfected in what the 'good people' of the world are doing in fighting back at those that are trying to turn the world upside down, by promoting men participating in women's sports and winning, and people in the government saying that men can actually bare children, in spite of obvious biological differences. And even though all of this is happening, adding a high level of confusion to public discourse, the 'good people' of the world are not having any of it. These Good People that worship God and want the best for their families don't yet know the God that they worship. These Good People believe that what God has said about salvation and eternal life has more to do with belief and grace than knowing who their God really is, and what He/They demand as far as the righteousness of the Kingdom of God is concerned. These Good People are waiting with great anticipation for God to save them, not realizing that it is their own obedience to the Commandments of God and the Testimony of Jesus that brings salvation and Life.

Join Spirit of Truth Ministry on Friday May 12, 2023 at 10AM PDT for another edition of The Bible on Trial, a program that tests the truth of the Words of God, that Jesus brought to earth from the Father, against the words of others, both in the Bible and out, and the myriad interpretations of end time prophecy that exist in the world today. You will gain a new, different, and more complete understanding about what Jesus came to earth to do by understanding that it is His words that He gave His own eyewitness disciples while He was here on earth, and the words that He gave in the Law and the Prophets in the Old Testament that bring true understanding of salvation, justice, and how to enter the Kingdom of God. Incensed~ Evil (personified) wants the world to be confused about what is actually, factually the truth about everything. People are being taught that gender is amorphous, and is whatever you choose it to be. Grown men are putting on dresses and then saying that they have the right to use a women's public restroom, just because they can do so, and get away with it. I recently watched a video of a 16 year old girl standing before a school board and saying that she and her girlfriends cannot change into their gym clothes for fear that school boys that indentify as female will come into the girls locker room unannounced and see them naked. She said her privacy is being violated, and the school board is deliberately allowing this to happen for fear that some LBTQ ++ group will bring a lawsuit against the school district. Men are competing in womens sports at the highest levels, and of course winning, causing the best women atheletes to be marginalized and lose the victories that are rightfully theirs because of it. The world has turned topsey-turvey, and I am incensed that this is the case. The Truth about these kinds of things, and many others as well, is simple to see, for those that choose to look through clear eyes. Truth is (indeed) singular and absolute, and personal choices in culture or identity have nothing to do with the reality. And this is exactly what Satan wants, and what he has been working toward for centuries. Lies presented as if it is the truth has destabilized society in every way that counts, including the idea that Spiritual Truth is whatever you want it to be. The reason this is happening is because of the word 'faith'! The misuse of the identiy of the word 'faith' is the root cause of all of the troubles of society today, because Faith allows a person to believe a lie as if it is the truth, without accountabiiity.

Why your should listen~ There are thousands of religious ministries that 'broadcast' their 'product' every day, all day, in every language, around the world on radio, TV, and cable. If they are Christian in nature then there is one characteristic that is ubiquitous to all of them, and that is that they all teach exactly the same thing. Oh yes, there will be minor differences in prophetic interpretation, and in the tactics used to gain an audience, but in everything that counts (excluding the 'way' of what is taught) every single one of them teach exactly the same thing; salvation by faith through grace, as define (and indeed invented) by the Apostle Paul. Certainly, Jesus gets and 'honorable mention' because of His death on the cross, but it is the teaching that Paul brought to the world through his vistions that made Christianity a competitive religious philosophy in the wider world. If you are a Christian, you must believe in the writings and the words of Paul in order to be named as a Christian. And in this religion that is a place for the words of Jesus, but that place is always and clearly secondary to the words of Paul, and rightly so, according to the words of Paul himself. Paul's words have overshadowed the words of Jesus in every aspect of life for the Christian. And while certain of His words are acceptable when placed next to the words of Paul, most are ignored by the pastors, preachers and teacher of Christianity as of no importance, because Paul came after Jesus, who came only to the Jews, and Paul brought salvation to the Gentiles. Truth is singular and absolute. There is only one truth, and that truth IS NOT ubiquitous - it is, and has been from the beginning, that which God sent to earth with His Son, Jesus, to teach the world how to gain entrance to the Kingdom of God, and to eternal life. You will find this concept only in one place, and that is right here in our ministry.

Injured Kitty~ Sparky is one of two cats in our house, and is the sweetest cat you could ever hope to meet. Tuesday at about 7:15PM she was involved in a fight with a big orange cat in our back yard, a cat that has been coming over from time to time. I ran outside from the kitchen when I heard the noise of the fight just in time to see Sparky come flying up the porch stairs and into the house. The other cat was running toward the chain link fence  on our property line, climbed over, and disappeared into our neighbors yard. I know that this was not Jim's cat, because Jim doesn't like cats, and has never had one, as long as we have been neighbors. .Sparky was bleeding from a wound on her right hind quarter, and came into the living room and started to lick the wound on our throw rug. She was bleeding from what looked like a puncture wound. It was evident that she was really hurting. I tried to pick her up in order to assess the damage, but she hissed, and ran into the bedroom, and under the bed. We got her out, and were able to get her into the bathtub and rinse her wound with some luke-warm water. We wrapped her in a towel and I sat with her in my chair for two hours, before she again ran under the bed. Yesterday we were able to get a quick appointment with our Vet, and he cleaned the wound and gave her antibiotics and a pain drug, that we must give to hear twice a day. She hates us doing this to her. It breaks my heart to see my kitty hurting, and I will do anything, pay as much as it takes to get her healed. The problem is that she doesn't understand that we are trying to help her, and she fights us when we try to help, because the helping hurts her. God feels the same way about us and our sinning. He has provided a means that will lead us to eternal life, but the process is not easy, nor is it pain free. He cannot force us to comply, We mus do it of our own free will.

Tree Service~ Yesterday the Tree Service that we had contracted came to the house and set about felling, trimming, thinning, and otherwise putting the trees of our yard into better shape than they have been in years. They cut back an ageing apple tree of the dead parts, leaving the branches that still had life to grow again. They cleared away a pile of wood that had been in front of our cedar fence for years. The fell a long dead and rotting tree trunk (25 feet tall) that was ready to split, and was a danger. They trimmed back a maple and a mullberry tree that overhung the property lines into our neighbor's yard on both the north and the south sides of our property. They thinned and topped our huge lemon tree, that had become so overgrown that it had lost its ability to produce a good crop. And finally, the owner (Ephrain) put on his climbing rig and went via ladder to the top of our 50ft palm, and removed 10 years of dead fronds, that were almost ready to drop off and either damage our truck, that we have to park at the base of the palm, or hurt someone. It was exciting to watch this crew of five experts (including Ephrain's son) work their magic on our property, and give us a fresh start in making our yard a wonderful place to enjoy.  As they were doing all of these things it reminded me that there is the same kind of need in our spiritual identities for a good clean out from time to time. Truth has been mixed with lies for so long that it is impossible to see the spiritual reality that God wants for each of us to experience because there is so much dead wood in us that we can't breath the fresh air of the truth that God desires for us to know. We cannot bare the spiritual fruit that will not only save our own lives, but the lives of others, and we can;t see our way to the Kingdom of God  because the branches in our souls are so narly and twisted that we can't see the Truth. Prune away the Lies and Truth appears.
