Spirit of Truth/The Bible on Trial episodes

  • The Bible On Trial
Join Spirit of Truth Ministry today for our program The Bible On Trial. This program delves deep into Truth in a different way than you will have ever experienced. The proof of Truth must come from the author of Truth and that is the Father that is in Heaven. God Almighty gave this Truth to His Son, who brought it to earth and testified to all that He had seen and heard from His Father. Jesus gave this truth ONLY to those whom He chose as disciples, and we now have two disciples in particular that wrote it down so that everyone that is OF the truth will be able to 'hear His voice' through those writings. This program shows that the words of God are FACT not fancy, and are NOT religion that comes from human origin, but is truth that comes directly from God Himself. We will be 'on air' today at 10AM PDT on: blogtalkradio.com/sot.

  • The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling
Join Spirit of Truth Ministry, today Sabbath, July 2, 2022, for our program The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling. We will be enjoying the discussion today with our friend Dr. Don, who will be in studio for our program. Rick will continue exposing the importance of knowing the truth about the lie that Satan set up in Eden, that has convinced Christians today that they are actually in the wrong if the attempt to "keep the Commandments of God, and hold to the testimony of Jesus". (Rev. 12:17) This big lie has also hidden the change in the prophetic time line that changed from the death and distruction of Revelation 13 et al, to the Life Road prophecies of Daniel 2 and Revelation 10, that will allow everyone on earth the opportunity to choose LIFE, without being under to enormous stress that is the 'mark of the beast', in knowing how to gain entry to the Kingdom of Heaven. Our program is on air at 10AM PDT on; blogtalkradio.com/sot.

Old Friends~ Today is the birthday of a college friend from years ago, Ed. We were roomates for 2 years, and were also the core of the tenor section of the College Chamber Singers, the premier choral group of the school. In fact, we met in that music group, and became roomates for both my first and second junior years (because of a change of major I crammed four years of college into five). He was five years older than me, as he came back to college after working those years after his high school graduation as a dental technician, and wanted to go into hospital management, which he did for the remained of his career. Right after graduation he married his best friend, Margie, whom he also met in the chorale. At their request, I photographed their wedding, which was my first experience as a wedding photographer; and this eventually turned into a 28 year career in photography, with over 900 weddings during those years. We communicate less often these days than we did years ago, but we remain friends to this day. Our shared experiences in college and after, whether together of not, has solidified our friendship for eternity. I love him as a brother. He is also a strong believer in the God of Paul. Near 20 years ago he came out here with Margie and their children for a visit with family, and I was included in the visit. We chatted over a meal together and I carefully felt him out with regards to the fledgling concepts about who Paul might have been and what he did, and got the response I have recieved countless times in my work with Spirit of Truth Ministry, and that was that Paul was in the Bible, therefore he must be right. For the sake of our friendship I did not push the envelope of Ed's security. We are still very good friend today. I will leave it up to God to take care of Ed and Margie, and their salvation. This is as it should be. The harvest will go forward, and God and truth will win in the end.

Choose what you will obey~ Yesterday was a monumentous day in the USA, because in a 6 to 3 vote the SCOTUS overturned a 50 year old 'law' that gave Constitutional recognition of the 'right' of a woman to get an abortion. In overturning Roe v Wade the Supreme Court stated that the original law was flawed in that there was no direct statement in the Bill of Rights granting a woman a 'right' to an abortion, and that as per the original founding documents any Right not enumerated as a Federal law in the Constitution was to be decided by the various legislatures of the States themselves. This is where these types of not directly stated issues should be decided, and not at a Federal level. Whatever your position on this issue of Roe v Wade there is now a decision that must be made by the people of the USA, and that is, do you now obey the Law or not.  Given the history of the Christian church since the first century is seems to me that there is now going to be huge protests against complying with the Supreme Court decision, because it doesn't fit the viewpoint of people that disagree with it. Christians believe that Paul is a true Apostle of Jesus, and that what he said about salvation is the truth, even though what Jesus said to His own eyewitness disciples is totally different. Christians have decided en mass to NOT obey the words of Jesus, or the words of God in the Old Testament. They have decided to obey the words of someone that has sought to change the laws concerning salvation and eternal life to something more palitable and easier to live with here on earth. And there is the rub. Why not just change the Law to suit your opinions, rather than obey the Laws that have been given by God? Why not just say that if it doesn't fit your idea of what is right then either igore it, or protest the decision and force God to do your will? This type of thinking will not work in either case.

I Screwed Up~ At the hardware store where I work part time, my  area of responsibility is the room where we keep over 30,000 different fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws. An because of this I have been named the biggest 'screw up' in the store, and rightly so. Apparently this is also true here at Spirit of Truth Radio on BTR, because yesterday I did not remember one very important thing as I was preparing the studio for our program, and our show ended after 15 minutes, instead of 60 minutes. I quite literally screwed up. I appologize to Rick and our listeners that were looking forward to another stimulating study, for causing this problem by my not knowing something I should have known. I want you to learn from my error, because there is an important lesson to be learned in my failure. Yesterday I wanted to do a test show in order to check my board and computer settings in a live environment, without having to put our audience through this bording process. About an hour before our start time I did a 'Go Live Now' show in order to try to figure out why we were having some drop out issues. I had Rick call in, and I got the issue sorted, but what I either forgot, or most likely neglected to read 15 years ago when we started our podcast is that our broadcast plan clearly says in the user notes that we are able to do only ONE session per day, for up to 2 hours at a time. There are no second sessions available on any of the plans sponsored by BTR. Therefore, when i opened our studio for our regular show time we were limited to the left over time that I did not use when I did the 'test' show. OOPS! This situation caused a problem because I DID NOT KNOW something critical to my understanding, and we lost our show for the day. Do we really KNOW God's plan for our salvation, or do we not know what we don't know, and miss out of eternal life?

How much truth is enough? I want you to do an exersize with me that will show you everything you need to know about The Truth and Salvation! We will start by getting a blank sheet of printer paper and drawing a continuous line around the inside margin of the paper, as close to the edge as possible; for our purposes this line and the edge of the paper are the same thing. This blank sheet of paper is a two dimensional image of the entire universe, in all of the dimensions that exist, and all the knowledge that exists, that has existed, and will ever exist. In other words, this line is God, everything He is, and everything He knows.  Now take a sharpened pencil and anywhere on that page draw the smallest circle possible. That circle represents the sum total of all of human knowledge of all ages past, present, and future. Question: How much of that knowledge is outside of what God knows? Take another piece of paper and draw a circle on it. That circle now represents the previous circle that is the sum total of all human knowledge. Draw a circle inside of that circle that will be your idea of how much of a percentage of human knowledge you know. Make it as large or small as necesary to show how much knowledge you have with respect to the sum total of human knowledge. (In may be difficult to draw a circle that small.) Question: how much of all that you know is related to your understanding of the Plan of Salvation, and where did you aquire that knowledge? Does it even matter? Jesus came to earth at the request of His Father. There is nothing that the Father knows that Jesus does not. Picture Jesus inside that tiny circle that represents the sum of human knowledge, having come to earth to "Testify to the truth" about salvation (John 18:37).  Do you believe that someone other than Jesus know everything about how salvation works, and is a better source for truth than Jesus?

WDJW~ Years ago there was a movement in the Christian church that caught fire for a time, and then died out becauise it became clear that it went against the prevailing sentiment that 'grace covers all our sins'! That movement was indicated by the acronym WWJD - What Would Jesus Do! It was a nice idea while it lasted, yet the idea that that our actions could affect the outcome of our salvation went against the prime tenet of the church (via the teachings of the 'apostle' Paul) that our deeds have no affect on our salvation, that it is our simple belief in Jesus and His blood shed for our sins that saves us. So asking the question What Would Jesus Do? became problematic as a theology, and was soon dismissed as an operational identity of the church. There is a question that is seldom if ever asked by Christians today, because when it is asked it identifies an individual responcibility for salvation that cannot be placed on anyone but the person asking the question; that is, What Does Jesus Want? The answer lays in the idea that there are two things that a person must accomplish, that are specified in the words of Jesus, that demonstrate that a person can and must be active in their own salvation.  "So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus." Rev, 12:17. Everyone that is Born Again, born of this Woman - the Holy Spirit, proves that rebirth by doing the two things specified in this verse; they must keep the 10 Commandments, and hold (only) to the testimony of Jesus, that He brought to earth from the Father. Doing the Truth proves Salvation.  "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." John 3:21. What Does Jesus Want? The Doing of the Truth!

Hot, and hotter~ For the most part living in Southern California is a blessing. For 8-9 months of the year we have georgeous weather, with temps in the mid-70's, and a smattering of rain from time to time. You can get by very well with your windows open and the ceiling fans moving air around the house, and even if it gets a little warm all you do is close the house until it cools down right after dark, and then you open up again. Coming soon is the heat of July, August and September. OMG does it get hot. And this next week we will be having temps in the 100's, and we aren't at the middle of June yet. Top this off with the fact that inflation is at 8 1/2 %  (the highest in 42 years), and no one can afford gasoline at near $7/gallon for their cars in order to drive to the beach to get out of the heat, and you have a perfect storm for a disaster of epic proportions. We will have to find out if the power grid can handle the load for all of the Air Conditioners that will be running 24/7. As we move forward into summer we must remember what Jesus said about the signs of the end of time in Matt. 24:32-33:  "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door." The Faithful and Wise enough Bond-servant is here right now, feeding his fellow servants their food at the proper time. And that food is the truth that the Kingdom of Heaven needs to know in order to be prepared for the coming of a time of peace and prosperity, instead of a time of Death and Destruction. The spiritual summer is upon us, bringing the heat of the truth that will set free the Kingdom of God on the earth.
