  • The Bible On Trial
Are we supposed to believe anything and everything simply by faith without sufficient proof to justify that belief? We don't do this in our 'regular' lives, so why do people settle for this kind of belief by faith in their spiritual lives? Christians (and certainly other religions) do this all the time, simply because of their unyielding beliel in the Bible as the 'inspired, inerrant, uncompromising Word of God' from cover to cover (including the cover that says Holy Bible). Here at Spirit of Truth Ministry we test the 'truths' found in the Bible using a method drawn from scientific research, that goes to the 'lowest common denominator' of truth to test those things that are believed to be true. Join us as we PROVE the truth by using the very words of Jesus as recorded by eyewitness disciples.

  • The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling
Who is the final end-time prophet of whom Jesus spoke in His own prophecy of the end of time? This is what Rick will address in today's study. This is a very important topic in that there are many 'prophets of the end time' that have come and gone, who have given 'prohecies' that have been proven to be false. and yet many believe them to still be true. How will we know for sure who this last prophet will be? Listen as Rick presents the words of Jesus in answer.

There are those that believe that truth is negotiated. This concept is propogated by bulk media and the political parties they serve. Christians believe that Isaiah 1:18 means that what God holds to be truth is only true for that individual, and not necessarily true for anyone else. They believe that we can 'reason' with God, because God is our personal Savior, and that our salvation is only for us and for no one else. Yet according to Jesus this is simply NOT True. The Bible On Trial shows why it is a mistake to think that the Righteous Kingdom of the Heavens can be populated by unrighteous people. Join us for our unique and challenging study into this and other stimulating topics each week.

Disappointment. We have all experienced it from time to time. it even seems to happen on a daily basis, more often than not. Disappointment is the main cause of feeling 'down' (for most of us), because our expectations of others and ourselves overpower our ability to look past our own faults or the faults of our loved ones, until all we can see in our lives is unfulfilled hopes and dreams.  When this happens how can we cope with life? How can we 'move on', and get over ourselves and our own problems? It is NOT easy to do, because our modern society has programed us to constantly think about what is best for 'us', and not others, which leads to an understandable reticence to view life and the world with a broad perspective. To acquire this viewpoint we must have a reason for being (raison d'etre) that is larger and more compelling than just our insular, parochial lives. It is for THIS reason that Jesus came to the earth, "To Testify to the Truth" (John 18:37). And by our learning to do this same thing, using His words and teachings, and by becoming part of something that is more important than even our own lives, that we will find a satisfaction and fulfillment that can (with time) replace our disappointments. Join us for a unique and challenging time of preparation where we learn how to turn our disappointments into opportunities to advance the Kingdom of the Heavens here on earth.

  • The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling
We have all heard someone use the term 'the plain truth', or 'the truth is always plain and simple'. Yet if truth was simple to understand, and plain to see, why are there not more people that 'believe and practice' the truth? One example of a 'truth' that is plain and simple to Christians is 'Easter'. Even more than Christmas, Easter represents to the Christian the culminating reason as to why Jesus came to earth; that is, to die for the sins of anyone that says they 'believe' in Jesus.  Yet if you believe what is taught as truth about Easter by the Christian church (as an example), then you will be missing the one of the greatest and most important lessons that Jesus came to the earth to teach. Here is a link to that lesson: http://spiritoftruthministry.net/STM/Must_Read/Entries/2007/6/15_The_Sabbath_Resurrection_of_Christ.html That lesson is almost entirely opposite of what is the truth about the death and resurrection of Jesus. And THAT is why Spirit of Truth Ministry accepted the commission of Jesus in Matt. 28:19-20. The TRUTH is almost never what a person has been taught, in a religious sense. So to learn the truth about the truth you must first give up what you now believe to be true, and learn as does a child-without emotional lenses that distort and create a truth that sounds plausable, but is not.

Mistakes happen to everyone, everyday. Sometimes the result is innocuous, other time devistating. The one thing every type of mistake has in common is that we all wish we had not made them, because the consequence is not what we SAY we want to do. If you continue to make the same mistake over and over what you are doing is not a mistake, it is a choice. God understands mistakes, They also understand choices. When They hear a 'sinner' ask for forgivness, but that person continues to make that 'mistake' again and again believing that it is impossible for them to NOT sin, then God knows that sinner has not repented. Christianity, via the apostle Paul, teaches that no one can NOT sin, and that salvation is granted by God in spite of, and inclusive of our sin; in other words, we are save IN our sin, because we will always sin. Is this true? Does God allow for our continued sin in our salvation to eternal life? We at Spirit of Truth Ministry will answer this and other pressing questions on our program The Bible on Trial.

In a courtroom, evidence is presented that attempts to prove the defendent both guilty and innocent. The procecution want a conviction, the defence wants an aquittal. The key to this evidence is WHO is doing the presentation, WHAT they are saying, and if are they honest, forthright, and truthful. If the jury chooses to believe someone that is presenting evidence that is tainted, or if they are fooled into believing that the defendent is lying when in fact the defendent is telling the truth, then the outcome of the trial will not reflect reality. Satan has set a reality in the world that has made EVERYONE believe a lie as if it is the truth. NO ONE starts out KNOWING the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Satan has accused God of duplicity in His creation of the universe, and specifically this world, by making it impossible for the inhbitants of the world (ne Universe) to choose anything but obedience, and obedience under the threat of death.  God has defended Themselves in the court on Heaven against this accusation by sending His Son Jesus Christ to earth to TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH (John 18:37), and demonstrate that truth through by complete obedience to the Covenant. This IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The testimony of Jesus is the ONLY evidence that has proven that Satan's accusation against God has no basis in FACT; that its basis is only in faith.  That is why Satan desperately wants the world to believe that they are 'saved by faith'. But this is a lie that is couched in something that 'looks' like truth. Do not be fooled; learn the testimony of Jesus, and be truly saved

"The wedding was a complete success." These are words that I heard many times this past weekend, in the aftermath of my daughters wedding; and those words are music to my ears. Everything went off without a hitch, including the music piece I wrote for my daughter Emily, and her husband Arin, which was played during the ceremony (Loves Eternal Dance). I was moved by the joy and happiness that was evident in all that attended the wedding ceremony, but also who came to the marriage feast after the wedding had taken place. There was dancing, and a wonderful meal, fabulous beverages, and a great DJ playing wonderful music chosen by my daughter. I even danced with the bride, and with my wife. Everyone had a wonderful time. Knowing how I felt as the father of the bride, I also thought about how God will view the marriage feast of His Only Begotten Son, and His bride, when all of the redeemed join the Holy family at the celebration of the marriage of the Lamb to His Bride. There is no feeling like it that I know. Yet there will be many that reject the invitation because it is not the invitation that they expected, nor is it presented in the way they understand. Unless a person comes to the wedding in the proper clothing, and at the proper time, that person will miss out on the greatest joy that they will have ever known. Don't be THAT person.

Today I have a wedding on my mind. No, it is not the wedding day of the Lamb, not today. It is actually the wedding day of my own dear daughter, Emily. We have known about this day and date for exactly one year; and in that time complex and ongoing preparations have been taking place, not only with my daughter and her afianced, but also in our family, and in the family of her beloved. People have been sent invitations, and have RSVP'd. Flights have been arranged, and hotels booked. My own house has been refurbished and refurninshed in anticipation of our families gathering here after the wedding for a meal. All of this is not taking place 'in the dark', yet the whole world does not know about THIS wedding, because they were not sent an invitation. This wedding is just for a chosen few that have special meaning to our two families, and THEY will be here for the celebration. They recieved and answered the wedding invitation. They prepared their wedding garments, and were made aware of the day and time.  So too, will it be for those in the Kingdom of the Heavens who have been chosen out of the kingdoms of this world. They will also be sent an invitations specifying the day, the date, the time and the proper wedding clothes. Join the celebration of the marriage supper of the Lamb, and respond to their invitation.
