In this episode, we are joined by 11 year old Kyra, founder of Foster For Hope, and her Momager, Crystalina.  Foster for Hope is a charity that raises money to help local foster kids. Kyra does this by holding various events through the year.  At the tender age of 7, Kyra knew that she had to do something to help foster children and what else was mom to do but to encourage and support her daughter's passion for helping.

In this episode, we are joined by Victoria Moore (A.K.A. Yogi Mami) to talk about her sudden and unexpected grief journey.  She shares about her happy marriage and family who did many activities together, including homeschooling and learning.  Until her husband began to suffer from depression. For over a year, he was under a doctor's care, on medication, as well as holistic treatment. One morning, everything changed and Victoria had to find a new normal in a new life as a widow.

Often times, a person is unaware that she/he may be in an abusive and controlling relationship, until after they have left it.  Such was the case for our guest, Jessica Cordova.  She explains how she fell prey to a controlling, insecure boyfriend who first showered her with gifts at a very young age. Then as time went on, abuse began, and she knew it was time to leave him. Months later, and to her surprise, Jessica found out she was pregnant and her single mom journey began. But there is light at the end of that tunnel, as she finally found what she had always longed for.

Grief is a difficult and uncomfortable  subject to talk about, especially when it involves the loss of a child.  In this episode, I am joined by Megan Hillukka, the founder of Grieving Moms Haven.  Megan shares with us the interruption of her motherhood joy by her sudden and unexpected grief journey.  Her healthy 15 month old daughter, Aria, died from Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood  while Megan was 8 months pregnant with her 4th child.  The experience of finding her daughter dead left her with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that turned her world upside-down and she struggled to care for her older boys and her newly born daughter. We are joined once again by Andrea Romero. She had shared part of her story in an earlier episode titled "Mom to an Angel: loss of a child" and now she is back to continue her motherhood journey with raising her daughter, Sarah, who has special needs. Less than a year after losing her son, Andrea noticed that her daughter started to develop the same symptoms. Sarah suffers from a neurological disease that has no name, she eventually lost her sight and some of her hearing. Five years ago, she separated from her husband and found herself really struggling, both financially and emotionally. At which point, she made a decision to give physical custody to Sarah's father. Throughout the years and all the struggles, she found support in the family she thought she had lost and is back in her daughter's life, co-parenting better than ever.
