Happy 30th anniversary, Blue's Clues! On this episode of Splat Attack, Alex, Manny, and Heather dig into the full history of the beloved Nick Jr. series, from its "Blueprints" pilot and Angela Santomero's Mr. Rogers inspired vision, through Steve, Joe, and Josh, all the way to Blue's Clues & You winning a 2025 Emmy. We cover the celebrity cameo list, the merchandising boom, the ASL connection with Marley Matlin, and a genuine fan mystery around the "Blue Skidoo" catchphrase that nobody can quite verify.

Then stick around for our closing segment, Tuned 'N, where we each pick the song that reminds us most of Blue's Clues.

Welcome to the Slime Sewer, a brand new format on Splat Attack Podcast where we dig up the worst episodes from our favorite 90s Nickelodeon shows and put them on trial.

Joining us as judge is Courtland from Up All Night Podcast, a horror anthology show that has covered every episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark, Goosebumps, Tales from the Crypt, and more.

We break down the science defying plot of the metal eating creature known as Eaty, the AI before AI was cool storyline of Digger the virtual pet, the behind the scenes network drama that ended Space Cases, and we even rewrite the endings ourselves in our "Can You Top This?" segment.

KENAN & KEL turns 30! 🎉 To celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of Nickelodeon's most beloved 90s shows, Splat Attack is going behind the scenes with two people who were actually there!

We sit down with Dan Frischman, who played Chris Potter on Kenan & Kel, and David “Wavy Davy” Jordan, the show's Prop Master, for an incredible conversation about the making of the series, their experiences on set, and what it was really like working on one of Nickelodeon's biggest hits.

From the characters and comedy that made Kenan & Kel a 90s classic to the behind-the-scenes stories that fans never got to hear, we're looking back at the history of the show and celebrating 30 years of orange soda, crazy adventures, and Nickelodeon nostalgia!

If you grew up watching Nickelodeon in the 90s, this is one you don't want to miss!

Be sure to follow Dan Frischman at: https://danfrischman.com/

They were the ones hiding behind their best friend. The ones who said "I don't think this is such a good idea" and "I'm nauseous" while the world fell apart around them. But what if the scaredy-cats were actually the bravest characters Nickelodeon ever wrote?

In this Character Study, we put Chuckie Finster from Rugrats and Filburt from Rocko's Modern Life side by side, and the parallels are wild. Two anxious, glasses-wearing best friends who were way more than punchlines. We break down their personalities, their families, their surprising moments of courage, and why an entire generation saw themselves in these two nervous wrecks.

We also play Wild Card — tossing Chuckie and Filburt into scenarios with other neurotic characters. The last option had us laughing.

Chuckie or Filburt: who do YOU relate to more? Drop it in the comments!

We've grown a lot since we started back in August of 2021. It's already five years which is incredible to think of. However, with the audiences slowly leaving this platform and moving over onto our YouTube page, the investment of time and money for this platform is not worth the little return we receive from those who listen here. Our audience is mostly on YouTube.

This means we are going to be shutting down this particular platform for the foreseeable future. If you are one of the Slimesters that prefers to listen to our platform as opposed to watching it, you can listen to all of our episodes here:

Splat you later!

Splat Attack is back with a brand new episode battle! This time we're heading into the woods to revisit The Angry Beavers and two of its most beloved music-themed episodes. Manny defends "Bummer of Love" (the Woodstock-inspired love story where Norbert meets Treeflower) while Alex makes the case for "Beaver Fever" (the disco-fueled ride where the beaver bros becomes one-hit-wonder pop sensations under the guidance of manager Ted Browman). Cat serves as judge, scoring each episode across five battle categories: Story, Main Characters, Supporting Characters, Use of Music Theme, and Lasting Appeal.

The shorts are on the pole. The bunks are decorated and ready. The pies are set and it's time for Camp Anawanna! This childhood staple of kids who grew up with Nickelodeon in the early 90s will remember this show, and it's legendary theme song, fondly. Now turning 35 we have some of the cast members joining us in the studio to share memories and stories. Joining us are Venus DeMilo Thomas (Telly Radford), Michael Ray Bower (Eddie 'Donkeylips' Gelfen), Heidi Lukacsik (Dina Alexander), Danny Cooksey (Robert 'Bobby' Budnick) and Megan Mahdavi (Z.Z. Ziff). Along with friends of the podcast Joe Gilpatrick and Clay Prindle, we travel back to the time of Zeke the Plumber, Cera Madre, and the icon that is Kevin 'Ug' Lee. Join us as we talk the 35th anniversary of Salute Your Shorts.

The Hidden Temple, The Extreme Arena, The Video Zone, and the Physical Challenge were experiences that we all wanted to experience when we were kids! We witnessed victories that made us cheer in our living rooms. But we also saw some incredible failures that made us yell at our television screens. Joining us in the studio is friend of the pod Mark Cooper from  @ItsMarkCooper . Together we look at some of the most epic fails from the first kids network.
