This is the last half of my chillout set from OODE VI (Memorial Day Weekend, 2002). Despite its truncated nature, it’s still a goody. 38 minutes of psybient bliss with additional live effects and sample manipulations by me.

Fire up Ye Olde Way Back Machine! Here’s a trance mix from March of 2000, recorded live at Magical Thursdays in Eugene, OR. 1999-2000 was a very interesting time for psychedelic trance. Goa was on it’s way out as the original producers and hordes of new ones experimented with the genre and created the multitude of sub genres that we know today. This mix contains bits of Goa, the beginnings of Psytrance and a dash of the Progressive Psy that was just on the horizon.

Destined to be distributed on cassette, I split the original recording (from DAT) into two 45 minute sections. Unfortunately, the single digital file has been lost over time, so only the two sections remain. Perhaps one day I’ll take the time to remerge these two mp3s, but I sort of like the reminder of my old cassette mix tape days.

This set was recorded 6.13.08 at Chillography101. I played with DJ Eckoe (Ultimae Records), adding live sonic textures and effects to his DJ mix.
