This chapter is one where I start to get truly anxious in a way that doesn't feel totally safe. First of all, there's the fact that time is working against them and things are passing way faster on earth, which I can't imagine means anything good for us no matter where they happen to be. Then there's the fact that Nita's father is all cryptic and weird and seems to be doing badly but is extremely vague about what the hell is going on down there.

So in these chapters, after getting the absolute worst news imaginable, our team is joined by an old flame, in more ways than one! Get it!? Because he's basically inhabited by a holy fire of goodness?
Also, there's a whole thing with Carmela starting to get into both Ronan and wizardry, and while Ronan is essentially on the table (albeit with some weird fine print), trying to horn in on the mission for wizardry is way out of her lane. I wonder though, will she turn out to have some power after all?

So this is the one where we find out what Mr. 3's power is, and it turns out that I am just not capable of stretching my imagination enough to come up with even CLOSE to any of these ideas. He's able to build things with wax, trap things (and people) with wax, and attack with wax.
