So in these chapters, after getting the absolute worst news imaginable, our team is joined by an old flame, in more ways than one! Get it!? Because he's basically inhabited by a holy fire of goodness?
Also, there's a whole thing with Carmela starting to get into both Ronan and wizardry, and while Ronan is essentially on the table (albeit with some weird fine print), trying to horn in on the mission for wizardry is way out of her lane. I wonder though, will she turn out to have some power after all?

And we're getting one of my most beloved/feared tropes of all time: "Wait, what about the authority figures who are better at this than us? What do you mean, they're dead/depowered/in hiding/etc???"
