Turns out that we actually don't know who Sanji's parents were, but he was sort of adopted by the pirate who nearly killed him during a raid.
Also, Pearl is still alive and I am NOT interested. Kill him and kill Don Krieg and let's get this show on the road again.

I'm going to be honest; this episode was such a bummer. AND YET. It was so good, and touching, and heartbreaking. I can't get over how much more I dislike Steve every time I see how he handled ANY interaction with his siblings. I'm impressed with Luke's acting, and the way that he gets played is so sad but also something that he may have needed to experience in order to really get it.
Overall, while everyone in this family is traumatized, Luke is the one I feel the sorriest for.

This one focuses on Theo and what she experienced as a child, what she does for a living, and how all those things tie together in an effort to perhaps save some other kid the pain she herself went through. Turns out that she has a weird sort of touch power called psychometry, and she can see the history of objects AND PEOPLE when she touches them. This has resulted in a mixed bag of outcomes; sometimes she's able to use this ability to help, and sometimes she's just burdened with trauma from visions she can't do anything about.
