In these chapters, we're coming up on the end of the book and things are beginning to get serious for Kit, who has become more wrapped up in everything than is really healthy for him. He begins to experience a distance from the world around him, and it becomes clear to us that he's displaying some of the symptoms we've been watching Daryl struggle with. Nita begins to pick up on it, but not in time to stop Kit from wandering back into Daryl's mind, and it kind of seems like there's going to be a problem getting him back out again this time.

This is the one where Paula has a very long, drawn-out heart attack, and yet insists on continuing to plug away all day because she's a maniac. Can't relate.
Also, Rebecca is faced with the specter of abandonment, and she doesn't cope super well because she has gotten lax on her work. It doesn't go super well...but in the end, she makes the right choice.

It's the last commissioned episode of Broadchurch, and we say farewell to the Danny Latimer storyline (or so it seems for now) in a very satisfying way. I was really invested in what happened to Joe, and while I'm appalled and devastated at the fact that he was found not guilty, I think the way the town chose to handle it was absolutely perfect.
Then there's the whole Sandbrook storyline, which gets wrapped up but isn't really that satisfying for reasons I have talked about a lot so far this season. I'm curious about how the rest of you reacted to that mystery!

I have some theories about the intentions of this show, and I would be interested to hear all your views about them as well. Do you think Otis was centered for the same reasons I do? Doesn't really matter either way, but I do really appreciate the diversity in cast and storytelling.
This is the episode where Eric goes on a spectacular date, only to come back and run into Adam. It's Maeve's birthday, which she celebrates by going to the police with Aimee to report an assault, and Otis gives her a gift that almost has her confessing her love right there in the hallway.
This was a good episode.

I had heard very mixed things about this movie, and I actually think that in the end that was a good thing. I wound up liking it more than I expected, especially once I began to settle on the theory that the writers of the show don't like Logan any better than I do, and MEANT for us to be annoyed by Veronica's choices.
