It's a helluva lot of information to absorb, and I'm really feeling sympathy for the fact that Calder's messages never make it where they were meant to go.

These chapters are the ones in which the guilds go to war with the Regents and wind up battling it out so bad that a champion dies, Esther Six is horrifically wounded, and Teach is turned into a dried-out husk. Shockingly, Teach lives, and she's starting to take on a totally different look as she heals, which I'm super curious about.
Also, Calder finally uses the Optasia with Bliss's help, and I'm wondering if perhaps this is when he has a convo with Ozriel?

These are the chapters in which we get the meeting of the Guild Heads from Calder's perspective, and it actually looks pretty similar to Shera's take on the whole thing, which surprised me. Also, we find out that Calder was specifically assigned to go find the missing crown of the Emperor, and I'm deeply suspicious of all of this.

Well, I'm actually not sure if I would count Aokiji as a villain exactly, but he's certainly an antagonist and someone that I'm looking forward to seeing more of. Lots of folks seemed pretty pumped for these chapters, which are the ones in which Lindon ACCIDENTALLY breaks his oath and tells Charity about the connection between the monarchs and the dreadgods. Charity is PISSED, and she's really not sure what she's going to do because ascending looks pretty good but also feels lowkey irrespoinsible RN.
Meanwhile, Orthos and Ziel are dealing with actual fucking dragons, and Orthos is beginning to see that maybe the black dragons aren't all that he was led to believe.

We're starting the final book and it's time to see how Calder gets where we see him at the end of Shera's book, and I'm so excited! First we watch him trying to exert his authority with multiple people and he's so unsuccessful it's embarrassing. Then we find out that Petal knew some of what Jyrine was up to way back when, and I'm so sad that she was manipulated. Poor Petal.
