Well, I'm actually not sure if I would count Aokiji as a villain exactly, but he's certainly an antagonist and someone that I'm looking forward to seeing more of. Lots of folks seemed pretty pumped for these chapters, which are the ones in which Lindon ACCIDENTALLY breaks his oath and tells Charity about the connection between the monarchs and the dreadgods. Charity is PISSED, and she's really not sure what she's going to do because ascending looks pretty good but also feels lowkey irrespoinsible RN.
Meanwhile, Orthos and Ziel are dealing with actual fucking dragons, and Orthos is beginning to see that maybe the black dragons aren't all that he was led to believe.

We're starting the final book and it's time to see how Calder gets where we see him at the end of Shera's book, and I'm so excited! First we watch him trying to exert his authority with multiple people and he's so unsuccessful it's embarrassing. Then we find out that Petal knew some of what Jyrine was up to way back when, and I'm so sad that she was manipulated. Poor Petal.

In these chapters, Lindon manages to convince Mercy to try his plan to accelerate her advancement, but I'm not sure that I trust that her trust in HIM will keep her from continuing to suspect him based on the hinting from her mother.
Also, Zeil and Orthos are in the middle of cleaning out this ruined castle when they come across a room full of dead bodies, and after clearing that level they encounter an ACTUAL dragon.

In these chapters, there's far more devastation within Thera's community than I wax expecting. In fact, saying "within the community" is suggesting there's still a community at all after what happens, and that's barely true.
Meanwhile we get a really fascinating conversation between Jia and Zomi, and I can't help but be impressed with Jia despite the fact that she's clearly planning on doing something monstrous.
