In this section, Nami pulls up on the weird earthlike island called Upper Yard and witnesses a strange scene. There's a group of weirdos with wings ganging up on a tattered man who seems harmless, and they're debating who gets to take him out. In the midst of this, that dude with the bazooka turns up and starts some shit, but then this massive bean of light shoots down, like God himself smiting with a laser, and the tattered man is gone.

These chapters are the ones where the Dara crews assemble an awesome shadow play to distract the Lyucu warriors while they break through the Lyucu ship's hull and attack from within. I'm blown away by the absolute nerve it takes to pull something like this off, and once again some entitled asshole forces his way in and fucking ruins everything.
I'm very concerned about Takval. I'm growing to like him a lot, and we don't need to lose him at this stage.

So this is the episode where everyone has had to transition to school uniforms, and it goes better than Hope should have expected, but not as good as she wanted. Because she's looking for automatons and not human beings. Meanwhile, Jakob and Ola have moved in with Jean and Otis and it's...not going great.
The main event in this episode though is the flattening of a poor cat under an unsecured microwave. This is truly awful and I hated it.

Lan Fan though, is forced to sacrifice her whole arm to throw Bradley off her scent, which is so badass but also people just keep losing their arms!?
Things culminate in a showdown with Gluttony at an barn outside of town, despite our friends thinking they've got him well secured. Turns out, the big guy has another weapon that nobody knew about.

This episode was really fucking heavy. There's so much grief, there's so much violence, and there are some really effective, stark examples of how these cycles of violence continue to play out endlessly, even spanning generations. Poor Winry unexpectedly gets hit with the news that the guy Ed is fighting is the same guy who killed her parents, and we get to see the flashback of how exactly it went down. She's faced with a choice; does she avenge them, or honor them by living the way that they themselves lived?
