On this week's episode the gang are inadvertently drawn into discussions about the Nintendo Switch and recent news regarding the system. At least one thing can be said for the thing – it saved Matt from the 1st world horror that is a prolonged power cut. We also discuss the new IT movie, as well as other forays to the cinema.

The main event though, is the tension-filled The Babadook – gripping from start to finish with some very interesting layers – yes, kind of like an onion. We take a look at the underlying themes and end up providing a very rounded conclusion on what the Babadook really is. It may or may not have happened the way we saw it, but as an allegory, The Babadook is captivating. Just, try not to use it as an instructional video for how to be a parent, okay?

On this week's episode, the sun has been shining in good old Blighty, which naturally means it is a worthy topic of conversation. The guys have had interesting weeks, involving gleaning some more juice out of the rapidly drying prune that is Resident Evil 7, talk on the Dark Souls / Bloodborne games, before touching on the cinematic universe of James Wan and The Warrens. It’s a mixed bag that includes possibly our most obscure reference joke yet, guaranteed to fly over the heads of everyone listening.

The main thrust if you will, of today’s very sexual episode is a heavy breathing discussion of the small indie flick done good, It Follows. We discuss the nature of the film’s titular evil, touching on how “the rules” are handled and the potential implications raised by what we know and a lot of what we don’t. Afterwards there’s a brief ramble on ways the characters can deal with their predicament going forwards in life, as well as a lamentation on the kinds of cheesy horror that thankfully, It Follows did not succumb to. Be like thirsty Paul and hit it – the subscribe button that is!
