Morty is preparing himself for a school-advised therapy session in the bathroom when he hears Rick's voice. He follows the voice to the garage to find that Rick has turned himself into a pickle "because he could" . Beth and Summer appear, and notice Rick's pickle status as well. Morty suspects that Rick did this to avoid going to the therapy session, noticing a dangling syringe rigged to inject Rick the moment the others leave. Rick denies the idea of getting out of going, and claims the syringe to be irrelevant. In response Beth removes the syringe, puts it in her purse, and leaves with Morty and Summer.

Jordan hosts Pappy and Josh in spoiling the 2nd episode of Rick and Morty's 3rd season Rickmancing the Stone.

Rick takes Morty and Summer to a Mad Max-esque version of Earth, where they are chased by a group of scavengers, known as the Death Stalkers. Rick notices that the group is carrying a valuable rock of Isotope 322, so he and the kids join them in hope of stealing it. Summer falls in love with the Death Stalkers' leader, while Morty is given the strength of a giant arm, which takes him in search of its killer. Rick leaves and replaces the kids with androids to fool Beth. When he returns, he helps the Death Stalkers use the Isotope to power a more advanced civilization. Summer doesn't like how the change has softened the Death Stalkers, so she follows Rick and Morty back home. Before leaving, Rick steals the Isotope. The experience helps the kids overcome their parents' divorce. Summer reconciles with Jerry, and Morty realizes he must live his own life.

Post-credit scene: As Jerry receives his unemployment check, a growling coyote appears and bullies him into handing it over. The coyote eats the check and regurgitates it, thus further ruining Jerry's new life.

Guest starring: Tony Hale as Death Stalker Eli, Joel McHale as Death Stalker Hemorrhage

The gang celebrates their 100th episode the only way they know how: getting black out drunk and watching Passion of the Christ.
