The trainers decide to go spelunking to see what they can find. After making a new friend they choose peace and quiet. Continuing their cave exploration they get stomped. Once out of the cave they continue through the mountain pass and the dice gods curse them. They also meet a grumpy man.

The trainers stop back in Univerna to pick up some info before racing off to try the mountain pass while the weather holds. Along the way to the mountains they experience some calmer pokemon encounters, learning new things about how pokemon interact with each other.
