Fall is here and so is a new episode of the Sports Lordz. This week we are down a man as Jimmy is out on a personal trip of discovery, but as the old saying goes, “we still got a show to do baby!" Diego and Kevin first get into some Major League Baseball talk and recap their hometown Braves clinching the NL East title once again. From there we discuss the other teams who have clinched thus far and look ahead at the playoffs that start next week. Next we shift gears and recap another week of college football highlighted by the top 10 matchup between Jimmy’s Georgia Bulldogs and Kevin’s Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, with the Dawgs coming out on top. In discussing the game, Diego shares his method of judging coaches and encourages all serfs to try it out at as they watch games. We of course talk about the crazy UCLA-Washington St. game, Wisconsin destroying Michigan, how Auburn and LSU will challenge Alabama, and how bad Tennessee sucks and makes Diego constantly feel bad. Next we go from the amateurs to the pros and look back at another week of NFL action including friend of the pod Daniel Jones’ coming out party, the Falcons insistence on sucking, and try to figure out if anyone can beat the Patriots. As the first segment wraps up, we vary the topics and share a solution to try Popeye’s new chicken sandwich, learn that the Bud Knight is still alive, and do a quick take of the opening games in The Champions League. Later, we are joined by Senator Chuck Schumer, who stops by the Sportatorium to talk about his New York Sports allegiances, his best friend Nancy, and stories from growing up in Brooklyn. Despite being down a man, the show concludes with a nice round of DABS!

To them we say, rest in power. Then we get into the week in sports and start with a look back at the last week in college football including Georgia Tech’s loss to the Citadel, the Florida-Kentucky game and the Feleipe Franks injury, the t-shirtgate story, add more names to our All Names Team, and look at the big matchups in the week ahead. Then we shift to professional football and look at the happenings of week 2 in the NFL including a Falcons near loss, quarterback injuries across the league, Eli getting benched and how the Jets are dealing with their starting QB and his mono. We also discuss the return of Chris Berman, which no one wanted, and the continuing and disturbing Antonio Brown saga, as he made his first start with the Patriots and has now been accused of awful crimes. Baseball also makes an appearance during the week in sports as our beloved Bravos clinch a spot in the playoffs but suffer a big loss with the injury to Charlie Culberson. The Mets have an interesting week as does facial hair across all of Major League Baseball. Later, we are joined by comedy icon and 3x platinum recording artist, Jeff Foxworthy! Jeff discusses his love of college football, tells us about his latest projects, and tries out some new material. The same way life ends, this episode also ends…but not before we get a healthy dose of DABS!

Alright, alright, alright. Your Sports Lordz are back with a sexy, new episode. This week, we take a look at Major League Baseball and the rapidly approaching playoffs. Our beloved Atlanta Braves continue their march into the post season, the wild card races in both leagues continue to heat up, we discuss if the Dodgers are still the best team in the NL, and if anyone can beat the Astros. Then, we get into the Antonio Brown saga and his exit from Oakland as he goes on to join the Patriots. We stick with the NFL and recap a wild week one including Dolphins players wanting to quit, the Jets doing Jet things, the Browns looking like browntown, our Falcons blowing it, and Saints fans being annoying, amongst many other things. Then we shift to college fartball and review what was a mildly entertaining week two with Clemson’s domination of Texas A&M, LSU’s huge win over the Texas Longhorns, and Kevin also has an update on his list of funny college football player names. Later we are joined by Academy Award winning actor and Texas alumnus, Matthew McConaughey who tells us about his ranch, what it’s like to be a chillfa, and gives us his prediction for the rest of the College Football season. Labor Day came and went and the Sports Lordz are back at work with a brand-new episode! This week, we return from our retreat to the river and ready to discuss the other big return; college football! While Christmas in August did yield fun for most, Diego did not enjoy the holiday as his beloved Tennessee Volunteers laid a rotten, stinky egg and had the worst loss in school history. After Diego finishes his sulking, we dive into the rest of what was week 1 in college football, check in on the big-time transfers making their debuts at new schools, check out some fun player names, and preview the big games coming up in week 2. Also, we delve into the bizarre world of college football head coaches as they are a weird bunch. We then shift our attention to the pros and talk some Oakland Raiders craziness, why the pre-season sucks so much, and reveal who will win the Superbowl thanks to ESPN’s computers. We of course get into some MLB talk as the playoffs are right around the corner, and give a quick fantasy update. Later, we are joined by head coach of the Oakland Raiders, Jon Gruden. Coach Gruden tells us about his expectations for the upcoming season, how he considers himself to be a “troop”, and some of the hobbies he enjoys away from the gridiron. Of course we wrap up another classic ep with a round of DABS!

Another week means another new episode of the Sports Lordz! This week, we get right into the hot button issues: chicken sandwich debate and gym etiquette. Then we get into one of our favorite topics, college football. We look back at week zero where the Florida Gators defeated the Miami Hurricanes and discuss whether the Gators are overrated or not. We also check in on Jim Harbaugh and his latest excuses for not winning, breakdown the upcoming first weekend of games, and the various cosmopolitan SEC college towns. Then we get into some MLB talk and look back at Player’s Weekend which included some awful uniforms and fun nicknames. Towards the end of the first segment we get into perhaps the biggest story of the week, the sudden retirement of Andrew Luck, and the backlash that has come with his announcement. Later, we are joined by the aforementioned Andrew Luck who drops by the Sportatorium to talk about why he retired, his experiences in the NFL, and what he plans to do with his life now that he’s out of the NFL.
