Brett is joined in Hour 1 on this mid-week edition of The Sports Rush by sports media mogul, Kent Sterling! Kent and Brett have an in-depth discussion on the state of the Indianapolis Colts through 4 weeks of play that has left the team with a 2-2 record, the same as every other team so far in the AFC South. Brett gets Kent’s opinion on the return of Jonathan Taylor that seems to be right around the corner, potentially this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Brett gets Kent’s opinion on the Colts loss against the Rams this past Sunday where the Colts fell behind early against the Rams but come back and send the game to overtime, but ultimately lost after giving up a drive to Stafford after the coin toss. What were the positives that Kent saw in the loss, and what still needs to be improved. We hear about the atmosphere at Lucas Oil during that stadium and about some of the excitement that could be felt amongst the fans during the comeback portion of the game on Sunday. In the second hour today, we are pleased to welcome former Chicago Bears player and member of the “100 Greatest Bears of all Time,” Patrick Mannelly! Patrick played with the Bears as their for 16 years before retiring in 2014. He’s still a member of the Bears organization as well, co-hosting the Bears pre and postgame shows on 670 The Score! Brett asks Patrick about the state of the organization as the team is struggling mightily so far this season. We hear from him about how much of a struggle it is for a team to overcome losing a defensive coordinator during the middle of a week. We also hear about how he believes Matt Eberflus has done with his job so far on the season, and if he thinks that there’s a possibility that he could be done with the Bears. We also hear from Patrick about the current situation between Chase Claypool and the Bears as well. What has gone on between Chase and the organization that lead to him not being a part of the team going into their game against the Commanders tomorrow night in Thursday Night Football. We also get an idea of the state of the locker room and if the players have been lost completely, or if there’s still some belief that things could be turned around for the team.
