It’s playoffs time! The Fort Wayne TinCaps will be kicking off their opening series of the Midwest League Playoffs tonight at Parkview Field in Game 1 against the Great Lakes Loons. We get excited for the game and preview it just a bit in Hour 1. Brett is also joined in Hour 1 by the voice of the Indianapolis Colts, Matt Taylor! Matt and Brett discuss the Indianapolis Colts falling in Week 1 to the Jacksonville Jaguars. They go over what they thought was good from the team, as well as the bed. They also go over the specific positives and negatives from the debut of Anthony Richardson at quarterback for the Colts. We hear Matt’s thoughts about the Colts issues with Red Zone Defense, and more things that the team can work on before their Week 2 game, and what he would like to see more of in that game against the Houston Texans.

Although it wasn't the highest level opponent, it was a good opportunity for the Hoosiers to right their ship and get a quality win after Week 1's loss. Brett hears from Don about the positives that he saw in the win against the Sycamores. Larra is as producer, host and reporter for Colts Productions, and is always close to the beat and pulse of the entire team in Indianapolis. Brett talks about the health of the team going into the first week of play, with the team’s injury report being one of the cleanest bills of health that they’ve had for opening day in a while. We hear Larra’s thoughts on why Colts fans should be more positive about this team’s potential than some of the national media members are. Brett asks whether or not its okay for Colts fans to still expect wins and not be happy with the “inexperience and learning” narrative of the season. In Hour 2 of The Sports Rush today on a Thursday, Brett is joined by TinCaps Broadcaster John Nolan! Brett brings in John to the show today to recap a wild and crazy win for the TinCaps last night in Dayton against the Dragons that saw the TinCaps start with a 6-0 lead only for it to be flipped into an 8-6 lead for Dayton. The ‘Caps were able to rally back after that for the win after that, including a 5 run top of the ninth inning. We also hear from John about what he’s looking for from the team for the rest of the games of the series, and about the Midwest League East playoff race between the TinCaps and the West Michigan WhiteCaps.
