Spot of Nerd

I’ve decided with these descriptions, that I am going to start making them more brief… I’ll stick with the longer descriptions in our OFFICIAL episodes coming in the future.

In today’s “ON AIR LIVE” we’ll discuss the latest in the CULTURE WAR. Is it still going? What does it even mean? Since #presidenttrump had one of the greatest VICTORIES in modern American history, has everyone kneeled before the KING, or is this just standard politics at its finest…

And before I do a full review, I wanna talk quickly about one of the greatest series I’ve ever watched… #landman on Paramount Plus. Holy moly is this show INCREDIBLE! #billybobthorton KILLS it in this OIL-DRIVEN, suspenseful THRILLER… With a sprinkling of laughs to get you through the emotional roller coaster that this show can be!

Stay tuned for more and as always, don’t forget to join the conversation! Hit the SUBSCRIBE button below and let me know your thoughts in the COMMENTS!

Until next time folks, LATERS!

First and foremost, yes, this is a heavy topic of discussion. I don't want to be just another person who goes online and says the usual, "Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected." I honestly believe we've reached a point in society... With so much anger and destruction, that common love and respect for your fellow man should be standard. It should just exist without having to say it, even though always will. Because by God we hopefully still live in a civilized society...

The harsh reality being that it takes tragedy for us to remember it.

What is going on in #california right now is HORRIFIC. I am praying for those affected... And I'm praying that its people are waking up at long last...

Yes, this is political. No matter what you may believe. Because this was completely preventable. Even today, January 10th 2024, once again, #presidenttrump has had his name and reputation dragged through the mud at the expense of who? Yep, us, the taxpayers. All to try and convince Americans that when he is sworn in on January 20th, he's supposedly a quote, 'felon'. The truth being that once again this has all be nothing more that the obvious: POLITICS. It's DISGUSTING! Yet in reality, at this point... Unsurprising.

I'm not here to pretend like I know x, y, or z... But I do know one thing: Allowing your home to be destroyed because you're HIRED leaders pretend to care is absolutely EVIL! I will never understand why there are those who continue to vote for such incompetence. Such high rates of taxes and the inability to ever get ahead in life financially unless somehow you're making 7 figure salaries... I just don't understand it.

Sure, I've lived in California. I grew up there. It's beautiful... When you get away from everything and just enjoy the beaches... But I also remember having to work 5 jobs at one time just to make ends meet. It's CRAZY!

And now we have the fires... The LITERAL destruction of what was something incredible. And for what? Why? Where? It's been 5 days now and these fires aren't even 50% contained...

My heart and soul goes out to these firefighters... These people who have lost everything... And I pray to God himself that the people finally see their own reality in this... The fact that what is happening should NEVER have come to be.

Change is needed and it is needed now. California's 'LEADERS' should be fired and jailed for what is currently happening in that state. The repercussions from this will be disastrous...

Let us hope that somehow, some way... We TOGETHER, can start to make it right.

Laters y’all…

Hello good people! Happy Jan. 6th 2025 Day! The OFFICIAL day #presidenttrump is designated your next 47th PRESIDENT of these incredible United States of America! We obviously have #inauguration coming, but it's still an AMAZING day to celebrate!

So yeah, as mentioned if you're following, subscribed, and all those other goodies with yours truly, Spot of Nerd... We are trying new things this year in 2025! Specifically this... Where we go #live and talk about what's happening in the world of politics, life, and of course, movies and television!

We tried something similar in the past... For those who may remember, "Fancy a cuppa?" Think that but BETTER, and I really want to make sure I'm being more consistent. So bare with me... I literally have no idea what I'm doing! In time I'll get familiar going LIVE! Hopefully this will be a weekly, if not multiple times a week thing and perhaps one day there will be those out there who might want to collaborate together on ideas, passions, etc...

I want what's presented to be more valuable than the glitz and glamor of 'EDITING'... And I want this to fill in the gaps between full blown EPISODE reviews and what not... Don't worry though, I'll still get BRAND-NEW episodes out on the regular!

Until then, let's start the show!

Well folks, it’s officially the end of another year and I must say… 2024 brought some of the WORST films in cinematic history!

It also showed Hollywood that they are in fact NOT invincible. That the world of agendas, politics, and every else in between is legitimately HARMING their overall standing… But what does that all mean?!

Frankly, what it means is that in my opinion, #spotofnerd… Hollywood now has to change. It needs to get the audience back in the seats of movie theaters around the world. And the only way that is going to happen is by delivering content that fans want. It’s not rocket science…

We go to the movies to escape reality… We watch our streaming services to forget our everyday lives. To breath for just one moment while we decompress and recharge for whatever comes next…

But It’s more than that. Movies and television tell us stories to create PASSIONS around worlds we’ve never seen. To approach LOVE and DEVOTION to characters that touch our very own hearts and minds that make us better human beings in the real world…

Hollywood forgot this…

2025 MUST be different. I pray it will be…

Alas, it is however the MERRIEST of HOLIDAYS, #christmas!

From yours truly Spot of Nerd, I wish EVERYONE a MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

What better way to wrap up this year than with one of my most FAVOURITE episodes that we do on this CHANNEL, “The BEST and WORST”! Have a look and/or listen on the Podcast and let me know your thoughts in the COMMENTS! Do you agree? Disagree? Have you seen these films we’re discussing in this Episode?! I’d love to know your take in the comments!

To conclude the year that was 2024… 2025 is HOPEFULLY going to turn out to be one of the greatest yet! We’ve got #presidenttrump back in the White House and I will OFFICIALLY be starting anew in Orlando, FL. I honestly CANNOT WAIT!

Expect more EPIC from this Channel as we dive deeper and provide even MORE content with POLITICS, FILMS, TELEVISION, REVIEWS, PERSONAL ADVENTURES… And LORD only knows what else!

I HOPE you will ALL join me! My sincere THANK YOU to everyone who continues to SUBSCRIBE and SUPPORT this Channel. My heart goes out to you ALL!

To the HATERS… Thanks for only making this Channel more popular! LOL!

#merrychristmas to all! #happyholidays as well! And no doubt, tis’ the season for… EPIC TRAILERS!

But you know me… Spot of Nerd. I won’t lie. James Gunn’s #superman looks like #hallmarkchannel had a baby with #dc and the #cw. It looks dreadful! Low budget… And CHEESY!

The simple FACT is, you have to admit this does not look good… It just doesn’t!

BUT, you know this Channel… It comes with many BUTS, I cannot lie… There have been some EPIC trailers over the past few weeks and you know we gotta talk about them!

#28yearslater just may be the greatest trailer ever made… The STANDARD for which all other trailers should use. Then, with the next generation of The Karate Kid, #karatekidlegends looks FANTASTIC! Seriously… 2025 is looking to HOPEFULLY be an INCREDIBLE time at the Box Office! Hopefully Hollywood will have learned from their past mistakes… Let’s be honest though… I’m not going to hold my breath!

Stay tuned as well folks, we’re currently wrapping up on one of my favourite times of year with this Channel, we’ll be doing “The BEST and WORST of 2024!” Coming by the end of the year!

You won’t want to miss it!

Here’s a TOTALLY random review for ya’ll… My beautiful dozen or so SUBSCRIBERS who follow the AMAZING Spot of Nerd!

#subservience was one of those movies I literally caught a glance at whilst strolling the “New Additions” list on #netflix… And I must say, WOW! This film isn’t half bad, and yes, take away #meganfox, I’d still recommend it.

I mean, it’s not just because you get to see… A LOT of Megan, but credit where it’s due… A lot has NOT changed since every man on the planet fell in love with her during the first LIVE-ACTION #transformers movies. Unfortunately she did do some stupid stuff and ultimately paid the price for it…

She’s made (and currently trying…) a comeback in Hollywood, and this new Subservience film is a great addition. Yes, it’s all about #artificialintelligence and how human society will one day metaphorically bow down to our technological overlords… But I’m hoping I’ll be dead by the time #skynet officially comes online…

The final act does fall over itself, but truthfully, I must give credit where credit is due, Subservience provides something unique to Hollywood lately… A STORY!

Crazy right?!

Let me know your thoughts in the comments… Are you excited for Artificial Intelligent robots being a part of our lives? Taking over the world likely and making human society pay for all the reckless behavior we’ve committed over the past several thousand centuries?

Or will we be better… Will we come together and say, NO! Mankind is worth saving! #optimusprime

See ya’ll in the next EPISODE… LATERS!

So here we are folks… Several weeks since the inevitable November 5th 2024 election where America gave the government and its highest institutions the greatest MIDDLE FINGER the world has ever seen!

And not just ELECTORALLY, but even from a POPULAR standpoint, President Donald J. Trump with make history in becoming the 47th President of these #unitedstatesofamerica!

Obviously, along with MILLIONS of others around this country, I could not be more HAPPY… Because FINALLY, FINALLY America has not only had enough of the lies… The tyranny, the complete and absolute BULLSH!T on how badly things have been running… There is now DEFINITIVE proof with data from the past decade to show those who HATE him the most, that no one, absolutely NO ONE can deny that the economic world was better. Peace was around the world. And the safety of the American people were at levels not seen EVER in American history.

And in only just several weeks, we can already see what I’m describing as the ‘AFTERMATH!’ Because without boring you with FACTS, TRUTHS, and ultimately proving the realization that #tds is quite real… I genuinely PRAY that with the results of November 5th 2024, the America people can finally start to come TOGETHER and see just how much better ALL of our lives can be!

From apparent ‘rights’ that we were told constantly would be taken away… Which not a single one has been lost. To supposed WARS that would be started… Which not a single one was even started under #trump and his initial administration. To one of my favourites (sarcasm)… That he will be a dictator on day one… To which he actually left the White House originally in his first administration… It begs you to wonder, why?

Why do those that despise us…. HATE us… Physically abuse and assault us, not see that just by looking in the mirror, a lot can be discovered.

So I’m not expecting this ALL-NEW episode to be everyone’s ‘cup-of-tea’. I hope it will at least do two things: ask yourself the question of why? And are we ready to come to the table and be respectful human beings to ultimately create a better society for EVERYONE!

I sure hope so…

#MAGA for life. LATERS!

Alas, once again, my sincere apologies to everyone for such delays. The FINAL piece to the AMAZING transformation of me and this Channel as we embark on life’s NEXT CHAPTER to Orlando Florida is here! In PART TWO as Spot of Nerd GOES TO ORLANDO, FL!

Something tells me that first part was written TRAGICALLY, but I honestly feel this trip to my new HOME to be INCREDIBLE! I count the days remaining until I OFFICIALLY move, and hope you all have been enjoying this latest content as I take you along with me!

In PART TWO, yes… I go there. Where? #disneyworld of course! And though in the past now, since then, the greatest event in American history has taken place as #presidenttrump has OFFICIALLY BEEN NOMINATED as the 47th President of these United States of America!

It would be clear to say, HELL YES!!!

But more on that later… For now, we wrap up my first (at least that I remember) trip to Orlando and ultimately my new home. I know I’m a broken record with this, but I honestly fell in LOVE! ABSOLUTE LOVE!

From the views to the one of the most important parts, its people, FLORIDA is truly MAGICAL! It’s special. And I cannot wait to become an official resident of that EPIC state we all know to be THE SUNSHINE STATE…

Please enjoy and let me know what you thought in the comments! Have you been to Orlando? Have you been to Florida? What’s been your take on the #election?

And yes, I PROMISE… We have so much AWESOME in the pipeline, you are not going to want to miss these next few weeks on this Channel! From #gladiator2 to #wicked… We’re also going to be breaking down what I’m going to call “AFTERMATH,” as we discuss post election results and how the next 4 years in America will be some of the greatest this country has ever seen!

I can’t wait! LATERS!

Well folks, better late than never I say! Sincere apologies for such a delay in getting this PART ONE of a VERY EPIC 2-PART SPECIAL from yours truly, Spot of Nerd.

I finally got to visit my future home, #orlando Florida!

And let me tell you, within seconds of hopping off that plane, I fell in love! Literal LOVE! Almost, but not as INCREDIBLE as what took place the Tuesday I returned where Mr. Donald J. Trump became the 47th President of these United States of America! HELLS YES!

#presidenttrump

But seriously… Florida is something special… No, it’s not perfect, but dammit if it’s not close. Without going down a rabbit hole… Or playing the world’s smallest violin… I’ve been trapped, tortured, and have ultimately wasted so much of my life, (With my own choices…) in regards to the way I live life… Specifically in CA and WA.

I’ve spent nearly 40 years pleasing others… Helping others. And where has it gotten me?

SPOILERS - Absolutely nowhere…

I’ve always dreamt of moving to Florida and with this recent trip to get my metaphoric eggs in order, I could not have felt more relieved… Less stress, WARM, but above all else, RESPECTED!

Why I’ve waited so long to move is something we’ll chat over another time… But for now, please enjoy my own JOY in nearly several decades as I travel to the one of the greatest places on Earth… Florida.

PART TWO should be out momentarily I promise!

Let the AMAZING BEGIN! LATERS!
