Spot of Nerd

Part 2 is here folks! Today we’re talking about #themonkey and just how INCREDIBLE this film truly was… Seriously, you might watch the trailer and think, “What in God’s name…?” But I promise this is one of the greatest HORROR flicks you’ll ever watch!

Yes, this movie is NOT destined to win ANY awards whatsoever, but its GORE and simply OUTRAGEOUS take on DEATH is what separates it from the rest. It almost has a NOBLE spirit about it… Like, yes, I’m fairly confident possessed toy MONKEYS are not a thing… But you know what is? DEATH. The sooner you accept it as a part of life, the sooner you’ll understand and VALUE everything you have…

Weird right? LOL!

Stay tuned every day this week! Tomorrow we’re REVIEWING #getaway, then #flightrisk, #hearteyes, and we’ll wrap the week up with #betterman!

We also have to talk #theelectricstate and #novocaine!

If you can make sense of this title; put simply, every day this week… I, Spot of Nerd, have not just one, but SIX ALL-NEW episodes… SIX ALL-NEW REVIEWS… Every day of this week!

These are movies from the past several months that perhaps I didn’t get a chance to see… And more than likely was waiting for the digital release because we all know they were likely to be SH!T!

Each REVIEW gets 5 minutes for me to DIVE into and I’d love to know your thoughts in the COMMENTS! Have you seen them? If not, hopefully my TWO CENTS can help you decide whether to not to waste your time… Or not? I’ll keep these description(s) brief… Except for this introductory one of course… And as we move into Spot of Nerd’s TWO-HUNDRED & FIFTIETH episode, some of the changes will be such items (shorter descriptions) so as to spend more time on the content VS what you’re reading here!

PHEW! Okay…

So, our first film of the week… #lovehurts and holy moly did it HURT watching this film. I honestly expected more from ‘SHORT-ROUND’ in one of his comeback films to get you back into the theaters! They tried way too hard to almost give you a parody of sorts from the #johnwick series… Let’s hope ‘Data’s’ future projects are more entertaining!

Stay tuned every day this week! Tomorrow we’re REVIEWING #themonkey followed by #getaway, #flightrisk, #hearteyes, and we’ll wrap the week up with #betterman!

PLUS, we also have to talk #theelectricstate and #novocaine!

So at long last good people… #marveltelevision has FINALLY… After nearly 6 YEARS, given us the first two episodes of one of the most anticipated series of them all, #daredevilbornagain :-)

The most important question everyone is asking, including yours truly, Spot of Nerd… How was it?!

And not only how was it… But how does it compare to its LEGENDARY counterpart that premiered nearly a decade ago on #netlfix?!

The honest to God answer… Not BAD. Not GREAT.

The biggest thing I can emphasize is to not think this series will ever live up to its original content. It simply can’t. There are LEGACY television and movie series that will live on well past you and I’s expiration date. #breakingbad for example. #theexpanse is another example in the Sci-Fi genre…

With Daredevil: Born Again, we still get a comic accurate, same cast reuniting, albeit different ways of filming and overall production… Value. But it’s still missing something that even I can’t put my finger on yet…

Yes, the CGI is obnoxious. It’s completely unnecessary. The tone is… OKAY. It’s still dark and gritty. At the same time it lacks serious dialog to keep you tuned into what is exactly going on… Don’t get me wrong, the original Netflix series was all about dialog… Yet with Born Again, it just seems like they don’t know what to do yet?

Sure you have Kingpin and Daredevil reunited… But why? Something #disney needs to be very careful with this show is to not repeat past mistakes… One of them being REPEATING the exact same story arcs we’ve already seen before…

This, and thinking out loud… But the repeating factor I believe is what’s going to make or break this series…

Yes, you’ve heard correctly, Apple TV+ has FINALLY provided its audience… Specifically in the Sci-Fi realm, with quite the GREAT movie!

#thegorge recently came out on Apple TV+ and so far has become one of its most POPULAR films to date. So much in fact, it has had Apple TV+’s highest viewership in just a few days of its release. It’s quite REMARKABLE!

But what is it exactly that makes this movie worth watching? Why do I, Spot of Nerd, give it so much praise? It’s very simple. It’s something different… With the only (albeit tragically HORRIBLE at times) POOR execution of the overall cinematography… The Gorge provides those in the Sci-Fi realm a chance to see DNA-fused ZOMBIES the likes of which we haven’t seen yet…

So yes, I encourage ya’ll to watch it if you get the chance… Just imagine Love Actually meets World War Z! What could possibly go wrong!?

Ok, I’ll SPOIL it for you… The LOVE story. That’s really all that was wrong in this film… But I promise these moments are few and then we get back to the “SILENT HILL” level CREEPS and SPOOKS!

Let me know if you’ve seen it yet in the COMMENTS! And please, if you haven’t already, throw me some LOVE of your own by hitting that SUBSCRIBE button!

Well well well folks… We finally have been given what most already knew would be DOA, but are now realizing the level of absolute ABYSMAL that Marvel writers and producers have reached…

#captainamericabravenewworld is officially out in theaters and HOLY smokes, albeit we all knew it was going to be TRASH, we did not know it was going for the metaphoric GOLD in relation to becoming one of the world’s most HORRIFICALLY made films…

From the writing, to the overall continued character development of LIVE action comic book characters, this new #captainamerica by #anthonymackie is truly something that should have never been made.

I can honestly say, from yours truly Spot of Nerd, that I don’t even think #marvel realized just how SAD and PATHETIC this movie was going to be… From half a dozen reshoots to far exceeding the original budget, Marvel is not simply dead… It is at this point non-existent.

We’re reaching a point in the #mcu where Marvel needs to tread very lightly. It’s one thing to produce and destroy a beloved character… It’s another to lose yet another franchise to very simple mistakes. Those mistakes being everything from writing characters that do not fit their legacy counterparts… To ‘EVIL’ villains only those who have read the actual Captain America comic books would know.

The context of the MCU is lost at this point. Marvel doesn’t seem to know what to do with itself anymore and it shows as clear as daylight here…

I say it often, and though I don’t mean to exaggerate, I would strongly caution you to stay as far away from this film as you possibly can… You’ll thank me!

You’ll have a better time watching dirt move… But let me know your thoughts in the COMMENTS! If you haven’t already, I’d love a SUBSCRIBE too! Sending all the love and thanks to my supporters!

Well, first and foremost folks, a quick belated #happyvalentinesday to all the LOVERS out there! I thought what better way to celebrate the SPIRIT of love than by watching the latest in #artificialintelligence and what they describe as, and I quote, “EFF bots.” Because society… God forbid, creates a good story arch… (insert palm to forehead emoji).

Jokes aside, this movie genuinely had potential at first. It really did. You’ll have to watch this latest EPISODE for more details, but per Hollywood and the cliché ‘MESSAGING’… It once again falls completely on itself and goes down in metaphoric flames…

Whether through agendas, politics, woke items, and discrimination regarding specific ideologies, the Companion movie takes the CAKE on what NEVER to do with taking Sci-Fi and Artificial Intelligence and blending them together.

I suppose it just continues the downward trend in Hollywood that it STILL is not understanding this is not what audiences want…

But hey, I’m just a guy on SoCiAl MeDiA…

Hate the man all you want, but we all know #presidenttrump has been doing EXCEPTIONAL work having only been in office for just several weeks now…

But that’s not the only GOOD news we have floating the world right now… Yes, we FINALLY got our first glimpse into #marvel and its next SUMMER of 2025 BLOCKBUSTER, #thefantasticfour! Soon to be known across the board as #firststeps, I’m genuinely in SHOCK at the fact that this actually doesn’t look terrible! Mark it in your history books! Spot of Nerd actually thought Marvel could produce something decent…

Now, let’s be very clear, this is just a #teasertrailer. And at this moment, we have very few details into the overall story arch and characters we’ll soon be introduced to this coming SUMMER.

What did you all think?! Let me know in the COMMENTS!

And then of course we really do need to talk about the GREATNESS that is President Trump… The MAN is doing some truly REMARKABLE things and this is only the beginning of just what may be one of the most EPIC presidential administrations to date in all of American history!

Promises made, PROMISES kept. It’s very simple and I hope the AMAZING only continues during the next 4 years… #americafirst!

Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE folks and as always, much love to ya’ll for the SUPPORT! Keep up the AWESOME!

We’ll see you guys in the next EPISODE, LATERS!

FORGIVE ME folks! This is a bit of a “time travel” episode… But I, Spot of Nerd, was finally able to watch #nosferatu and by George was it a MASTERPIECE in filmmaking!

Yes, it technically is a 2024 film… But due to me just being me… Well, I am now just seeing it… And I would 1000% encourage ya’ll to watch it as well. Trust me on this! Trust me like your life depends on it! In a film making/REVIEW sort of way… LOL!

It brings style and class the likes of which we haven’t seen on screen in a very long time… Being able to delve into the VAMPIRIC ways of fiction, all the while melding a cast of truly remarkable individuals that bring their A-GAMES in hopes to no doubt be getting AWARDS left and right for their roles in this movie!

Jokes aside, it reminded me of the old-school show on HBO #trueblood. Though now considered a ‘SILLY’ interpretation of the world of fantastical creatures, what it did do right was provide you with REAL vampire HORROR without needing to literally drip BLOOD from every corner of the screen… In fact, the way it was shot (filmed) was PERFECTION in stylizing the original black and white footage into today’s modern, likely 4K or higher definition screen input… Absolutely EPIC!

It’s currently streaming on most platforms and you still might get lucky with seeing it at your local theater. When you do, I’d love to know your thoughts, so tell me in the COMMENTS!

Also, please don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE before sun-up! LATERS!

P.S. Given the chance, I’d be a #vampire in a heartbeat… Or no heartbeat, cause you’d technically be dead…

Well folks, here we have it… An ALL-NEW episode REVIEW on one of streaming services GREATEST series to date, #landman.

Landman is hands-down on par with the likes of Breaking Bad and #theexpanse (if you’re familiar with it). These are shows that will go down in history as some of the most ICONIC and EPIC series to ever grace our television screens… And that’s saying something.

Why? Because I think if there is one thing we can all agree on… Is that Hollywood and streaming services alike have given us a HEAP load of absolute dog doodie in recent years!

With Landman, you get it all… From #billybobthorton at his best, to side characters that will have you in tears laughing from their comedic phrasing… To even learning more about the oil industry and how it’s really not as bad as the satanic MEDIA portrays. If anything, it might even wake you up to the fact that everything this world has been built on is FOSSIL FUELS! Yes this is a fictional show, but the reality it’s based on is absolute FACTS!

That’s not to say eco-friendly equipment isn’t necessary, but even to this day, over 85% of power and electricity still comes from the DINOSAURS! But alas, that’s for another debate…

I promise you will fall in love with this show from the first 10 minutes of the first episode! I pray to God himself we continue this series well into the future!

Let me know your thoughts in the comments and as always, I would be eternally grateful if you’d hit the good ole SUBSCRIBE button for me!

It’s OFFICIAL folks, it’s officially #inaugurationday with your next 47th President of these United States of America… #presidenttrump!

And I, Spot of Nerd, could not be more EXCITED!

It’s America’s NEXT #revolution. But not in the context of violence or war… This time it’s through a #mandate from the people… Where on November 5th 2024, #donaldjtrump not only won the ELECTORAL vote, but the POPULAR vote as well!

The American people are DONE with the past. They are done playing ‘games’ with a level of corruption we’ve not seen since… Well, EVER!

The evil, sadistic MEDIA, along with a truly CORRUPT government literally tried to jail Trump, destroy his name… And attempted to KILL him TWICE! And yet he was still able to do something unprecedented… He outdid them all and showed them that the PEOPLE are more concerned with the rule of law… The standards of COMMON SENSE, than anything else!

Today America gets back to REALITY! Today America gets another chance at being the BEST!

Today… #america fights back! Not through violence and HATE… But through STRENGTH and DIGNITY!

God bless President Trump and God bless these United States of America!
