On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month Osan USO has Dine for a Dime where they serve the community home cooked meals for only 10 cents. This time they had help from a local Girls Scouts troop to serve up some home made red beans and rice and cornbread. Airmen respond to a base wide recall to kick off Exercise Beverly Bulldog 12-01 at Osan Air Base. In order to demonstrate the bases ability to receive follow on forces different agency representatives processed 25 individuals through a deployment line. Exercises like this are used to ensure members are ready and prepared to react to wartime contingency and help defend South Korea.

The success of this project relies on members of the community that volunteer their personal time to help out. The Casey Carey Fitness Center had their first ever All-star basketball game between the best players from Casey and Hovey. Both teams gave it their all, but the Casey all-stars beat Hovey 41 to 33 in low scoring thriller. A 3 point shoot out and a dunk competition followed the game to cap of the All-star weekend.

Airmen from the 51st Medical Group respond to a simulated bus crash during Exercise Beverly Bulldog 12-01. Airmen arrived on scene and administered first aid to patients that could be helped with minor treatment but critical patients that had to be evacuated for further attention. Scenarios like this test the base's response during wartime contingency.

U.S. and Korean soldiers joined forces to conduct a Combined Air Traffic Services field training exercise.

While most Service members enjoy their day off, nearly 30 volunteers from Osan Air Base pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by volunteering in their community. The group spent their holiday cleaning the Yung Suk Orphanage and teaching the children about Dr. King’s message of peace and hope. The Yung Suk Orphanage is home and school to about 87 Korean children between the ages of 8 and 14 years.

Every month the Osan Air Base Chapel sponsors a Warrior Dinner for single and unaccompanied Servicemembers. The chapel uses this event to provide a free meal while giving participants the chance to relax, and socialize with each other in a positive environment outside of work.
