Cruising on through the 66 books of the Bible we find ourselves in the second letter Paul wrote to Timothy. Paul possibly knew he would soon die and wanted Timothy to know what it really meant to be a Pastor and what the church should be doing. Full of important instruction and encouragement, this letter is as relevant to us today as it was for Timothy.
Today we continue with Paul's second letter to Timothy. Paul gives Timothy several "charges" to follow concerning sound doctrine, public worship, false teachers, church responsibilities and money motives. These also apply to us as Christians today. Pastor Mark also shares the strong message from this book on our Conscience. A full and encouraging lesson.
On the road again we continue our travels through the 66 books of the Bible. Today we are in 2 Thessalonians. Paul continues his encouragement to the Thessalonians despite persecution, clarifies their concerns about the Lord's return and gives exhortation to the idle. Pastor Mark shares these scriptures and then spends time teaching about the Antichrist. Listen and you will recognize today's lesson is extremely timely for what we are living in today.
Today we are taking a break from our Route 66 series and Doug Kamberg is sharing some touching reminders of how blessed we are and how God wants us to be thankful in all situations. Listen and then determine to live a life of thanksgiving....not just a day!
On the road again and today visiting Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians. This book is full of prayers and memories Paul shares about the church in Thessalonike. He deeply loved these people and encourages them to walk in Holiness and Love and to hold onto the Hope we all have as believers. The recurring message is for the church to be prepared for the return of Jesus. Are you living each and every day in complete readiness for the return of Christ? Is there anything that would keep you from being fully prepared for Jesus' second coming? The only way to be prepared THAT day is to be prepared EVERYDAY!
Today as we continue our trip through the 66 books of the Bible we stop in the book of Colossians..the 51st book overall. This is the 7th of Paul's letters and was co-authored by Timothy. This letter covers doctrinal topics such as: What we believe as Christians; a Messiah Poem and the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ. It also talks about who we are and what we do as Christians in this world we live in. A few self-examination questions:
1. Is Jesus first in my schedule?
2. Is Jesus first in my relationships?
3. Is Jesus first in my finances?
Listen and be encouraged to not just talk the talk, but really walk the walk in this hurting and broken world.
Today we continue our journey through the 66 books of the Bible and find ourselves in the letter to the Philippians. This is the 6th of Paul's epistles. It is a letter to the church in Philippi but is written in a Messianic Poem form. Through the seven segments of the letter, Paul encourages us to rejoice in the Lord always; to seriously consider what we think about and to rely on Jesus totally. A very encouraging lesson. Listen and be challenged and encouraged.
On the road again! Today we spend some time in the book of Ephesians. A letter full of Paul's excellent counsel for all believers about priorities in relationships. Our relationship with our God and each other as friends and family is our powerful witness to the world. Listen and decide how and where you can make adjustments to line up with the Word.
Glad to be back on the "Road" again as we continue our Route 66 series. Today we are stopping in the book of Galatian as Pastor Mark shares with us the freedom we have received in Christ. Listen and be encouraged.
So thankful to have been able to meet today for the first time on campus in seven months. Pastor Mark picked right up where we left off on the Route 66 teaching. Today's lesson is on 2 Corinthians and clearly shows the areas where the church in Corinth had lost sight of the teachings Paul had left with them. Listen and decide if some of these warnings Paul is giving could apply to us today.
