What does it mean for us to know Christ? What does it do for us and in our lives? It’s an undeserved privilege and amazing promise. A privilege that we do nothing to earn but get to keep.

Is there some recurring temptation, some vulnerability, some weakness that you need God’s help to overcome?  If you are alive, the answer is probably yes to that question. So, how do we resist temptation?  How do we protect our minds and guard our thoughts?

Temptation is defined as, "Anything that promises forever satisfaction at the cost of obedience to God.” Let's talk about four truths about temptation and what we can do when we inevitably face temptations.

What do you do when God doesn’t meet your expectations? When that happens, it can be discouraging and even cause us to doubt ourselves and God. What if God doesn’t want to meet your expectations, what if he wants to do something so much greater?

What do you lack? What do you seem to not have enough of? The truth is, we all feel like we’re lacking the things we need the most at times. When things are lacking, where we go to get them makes a big difference. Let’s go to the source.

Relationships are messy. Others betray us and abandon us and we do the same to others. Relationships are important too, though. How do we react when others let us down? What do we have when it seems like other people take so much from us? Let's learn what we truly need and know that... that's enough.
