  • The Deadly Sins: Sloth - Apr 6 - Midweek Lent Service
When we find our identity in our work we tend to either overwork (in order
to establish ourselves) or underwork (in despair at not meeting expectations), but
the Gospel of Jesus frees us to find our identity in Him and work at our vocations
for his glory and the good of our neighbor.

  • The Discarded Stone - Apr 3 - Fifth Sunday in Lent
Jesus has always been considered at best irrelevant and at worst dangerous

and power - but in Jesus, God makes us his children, convinces us he's our father,
and teaches us to value most highly his love for and commitment to us.

  • The Deadly Sins: Wrath - Mar 23 - Midweek Lent Service
The Bible tells us to put away unrighteous anger, but it also commands us
to have righteous anger. Because anger is a response to what we love being attacked,
righteous anger happens when we love God's glory and character enough to be angry
when it's attacked. And ultimately, God's own wrath toward those things which attack
his glory and character is consumed by his love for his people in Jesus.
