There are four stages that the disciples take in this passage of scripture: 1.Floundering, 2. Fear, 3. Refocusing, 4. Faith. Jesus comes to us during our fear and floundering. When we finally realize Jesus is with us during our problems, we need to refocus on him. Our fear grows the most after crisis.

We are afraid that we are not going to have enough. The feeding of the 5000, shows us that with God, we will have more than enough. Jesus does what we cannot, he encourages us to unconditionally love one another, he uses us to help each other, and he fills us with what we need.

Who determines what rules are taught and followed, we do. Strive toward good. Our duty is to flourish and bring others to Christ.

Psalm 86:11 has three ideas. 1) Teach me Your way oh Lord 2) So I can walk in Your truth. 3) Give me an undivided heart to revere your name. A good verse to commit to memory. The essence of God is love!!

"Foot Prints in the Sand" along with todays Gospel speaks when completely worn out. What depletes us, circumstances, demands, and expectations. Jesus offers all rest for your souls, real soul rest comes when connected to Christ. He does not want us to bear anything alone.

Reward...better life after death. Jesus encourages us, He is counting on us. Hospitality is important as we live our lives as Christians.

Our worth is not determined by how much we love God but by how much God loves us.

We need to go out among the people and tell them about Jesus and bring them into the fold.

Some of us have doubts about God and guilt about those doubts, God's ability and goodness. God helps us and guides us through these times.

The wor of the Holy Spirit is to bring us closer to Jesus.
