Stage Door Medium

Welcome back to another week of Stage Door Medium!

I hope you enjoyed last week’s episode.

This week we welcome one of Broadway’s finest, Hayley Podschun, onto the show.

Join us as we discuss Hayley’s career, including her Broadway debut at 12 in The Sound of Music.  We’ll also discuss being an “underground Glinda” and the drawbacks to being able to sing, dance, and act equally well versus having one strong suit.

In addition, Hayley and I discuss her reading in-depth, and I share stories on why it’s so important to relay things verbatim from Spirit versus paraphrasing in addition to capturing their personality (My experience with Hayley was SO cool).

We’ll also talk about the importance of rest, not eating too much before a reading or a show, and why Liza Minnelli as Glinda might just be the casting move we need to jumpstart the theatre industry again post-pandemic.

Welcome to Stage Door Medium!

In tonight's debut episode, I'm joined by the triple threat force of nature and Elphaba powerhouse, Jennifer DiNoia.
@jennydinoia

Jenny is pure light and I couldn't be happier (See what I did there...)for Jenny to open our season. We sit down and discuss Jenny's reading, as well as the daunting task of keeping the work from growing stale each night, putting our blinders on and doing the work, and why we're often harder on ourselves than we should be.

I'll also discuss what an "X"means if I see it during a reading, and discuss the importance of not second guessing how something is to be worded when I hear it from Spirit.
Let me know in the comments what types of topics you'd like explored during this season and tag a friend who should be watching as well!
