In today episode, I have the podcast host of Candle In A Dark Room, Desi Garcia on my show who shares the story of her life, how she survived trauma & how she lives in recovery today. 

Desi was continuously abused by her stepfather between the ages of 8 to 15, she pressed charges and her perpetrator was convicted though it never kept him away from her when he was released from prison. He continued to stalk Desi, following her to places and the police even found his computer full of images of her, which proved his obscene obsession towards her. 

In this episode, Desi explains how she managed to recover from so many years of abuse and how her trauma empowered her to help other survivors, which she is doing so successfully today.
