In Santa Ana, California, in 1984, bones were found. Initially they were identified as those belonging to a dog. However, further investigation revealed a second set of bones underneath. Those bones were eventually identified as missing woman Dorothy Scott.

Dorothy had gone missing under extremely mysterious circumstances. In the era before cell phones and internet capabilities, we had good, old fashioned prank calls. But it seems that the calls Dorothy had been receiving were anything but harmless. Did she have a stalker? Was a coworker infatuated? Had her son's father become a jealous murderer? What we know for sure is that her parents continued to receive the chilling calls until Dorothy's remains were found....4 YEARS LATER.
