We value our freedoms as American citizens, especially the freedom of speech and religious expression. Knowing that the Bible is the basis of our nation's laws and morality, we also recognize without them we are no better than Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.

In our first segment today, we talk with Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Council to discuss President Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, as well as new studies about the opioid crisis and significantly lower birth rates in Wisconsin.

We live in times where some would like to take our freedoms from us. Globalists and Marxists look for every opportunity to make government god and enslave us to their standards of [im]morality. But we can also be easily deceived into voluntarily giving up our freedoms in the name of "progress." We also discuss an article from the website "Technocracy" about A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) and how it is shaping the future of medical research and treatment. The potential ramifications are chilling. Finally, Canada finds more ways to discriminate against Christians and clamp down on religious freedom.

The world offers lots of so-called solutions that it claims will maintain good spiritual and emotional health. From drugs to Psychotherapy to Humanist Psychology, the world has no shortage of suggested answers to the problems of life that affect us all. In a world where respectful dialogue is being replaced with impatience, anger, self-righteousness, and even hate, it is vital that Christians not get caught up in all the uproar.

We ought not look to the ways of this world for answers. Instead we look to the Word of God and its timeless wisdom. That being said, many of us get caught up with disagreements or debates on social media which add to our actual concerns and priorities. We discuss these challenges today.

As we live a life of comfort, safety, and so many blessings we take for granted here in America, we need to be reminded that the USA is not the center of the universe. Today we are joined by Dave Bell, who along with his wife Jen, have been missionaries to Kenya for more than a decade. (MPM Kenya on the web) The Bells founded Mahali pa Maisha, an infant rescue center that helps care for and locate Christian families to adopt orphaned babies.

Dave joins us to talk about the work God has them doing and the obstacles they face in sharing the gospel and the hope of Jesus Christ in poor nations. We will also share a few news stories of Christians in Africa, North Korea, India, and China being persecuted for their faith in Christ.

Behind the scenes, elites and the establishment continue to work on the foundation of a one world government where God is dismissed and mankind elevates itself. Today we discuss the Deep State, transhumanism, end times prophecy, and a recent survey showing over 60 percent of 18-36 year-old Americans favor socialism; much higher than previous polls.

As we come off the celebration of our nation's independence, we realize how precious our freedoms are and how easily we take them for granted. We also know how close we might be to losing them. Freedom of speech is under attack by overzealous liberal, politically-correct crowd, and the hatred of Christians is rearing its ugly head right here in the land of the free.

This morning we look at a few stories on how our freedoms are being challenged, and the tactics those on the left are using to silence Christians. It is a multi-faceted attack including the use of words and accusation, attacks that should be taken seriously by believers.

We touch on the battle over nominations for Supreme Court Justice, and also do a follow-up report on the resignation of Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Church and examine details about how the most powerful pastor in America was forced to resign.

Millions of Americans will take a day off from work tomorrow to gather with family and friends; to cook out, relax and attend fireworks displays. Let's not forget millions of others have given their lives over the past two hundred and forty-two years so that we might enjoy the blessings of freedom in a Republic once established under God. Most importantly, remember to take the time to thank our Creator for the freedoms we enjoy under the Constitution that was established.

Sadly however, this time of celebration is tempered by real threats to our freedom of speech as we see hateful rhetoric ramping up due in part to liberal activists and radicals who hate Christ, the truth, and what America represents.
