If you think the transgender movement could never happen locally, think again. A concerned Christian parent joins us in studio today and shares some of her heartbreaking story. She has been aware of the transgender agenda in her son's public school since he first opened up to her two years ago about what is really happening in our local schools. This mother is reaching out in the hopes other Christian parents will get involved and help raise awareness.

We'll call her Jenny. She called us a few weeks back to share some of the details of what her son has had to deal with and she courageously agreed to come in and share her alarming story with Stand Up for the Truth listeners. We'll hear from Jenny about how the school administration and superintendent responded to her concerns. We'll also be discussing school privacy policies leaving parents with few rights, and teenagers on school field trips and camping outings that include co-ed sleeping arrangements due to students who identify as transgender. All this in addition to students using whatever bathroom they wanted to use in the school itself.

Also, just what is "normal"? Well, that depends on who is in charge, doesn't it? And these days it is becoming more and more apparent that the ones in charge have one thing in common: A hatred for God and His Word. If you do not get in line with their definition of "normal" you will be labeled a "hate group", subject to ridicule and even violence. One Christian organization is fighting back, suing the Southern Poverty Law Center over their designation of so-called "hate groups."

This is telling: a teacher in California promotes transgender propaganda to her students without parental permission; a parent complains, and the school system says the teacher has the right to share her personal views. But a High School football coach kneels by himself to pray after a game, some players join him, and the liberal 9th Circus Court of Appeals says he acted unconstitutionally by "imposing" his private views on the students who attended the game. So public employees can freely express their anti-biblical views if they are liberal and a Christian public employee cannot privately express his beliefs. Is there not a glaring double standard here?

In our first segment, we are joined by Elijah Abraham, a former Muslim and now born-again believer who travels the world equipping Christians to share the gospel with Muslims. We ask him about Replacement international terrorism, Replacement theology, and why Islam is generally seen as a darling religion of the left when the Quran calls for imprisonment or death to homosexuals and infidels, and condones the mistreatment of women.

Just when you think political correctness couldn't get any more absurd, the left takes it to another level of insanity. ESPN has relieved a college football announcer of his assignment to call a game, not because of his private or controversial views, but because of his name. They are worried that his name given to him at birth might make some of their audience "uncomfortable".

Also, what percentage of Americans actually view themselves as sinners? The answer might surprise you.

In our first segment, we check in with author, Bryan Osborne, whose new book Quick Answers to Tough Questions can help Christians be prepared to share the reason for our eternal hope from God's Word when the world asks difficult questions.

PODCAST: In spite of political roadblocks and intense persecution the gospel of salvation is being shared with every tribe and tongue throughout God's world. And while most of the attention regarading persecution comes from countries in the Middle East, missionaries in Africa are diligently working to spread the good news. This morning we visit with Dave Bell who has been a missionary in Kenya for a decade. How is God's Word being received in a nation that is poor and surrounded by radical Islam?

We also continue our discussion on racism in America and how many on the left continue to live in hypocrisy by crying out against racism while supporting organizations like Planned Parenthood and promoting Marxist worldviews that are anything but tolerant or accepting.

The ugly protests and riots in Virginia last week have stirred deep emotion in the hearts of many. One of the pillars of American freedom is the right to freedom of speech and peaceful assembly; but the necessary downside to that freedom is that hateful, bigoted organizations like the KKK are able to assemble and spew their message of hatred.

The violence that was sparked has led to a call for a tearing down of statues and monuments of historical importance to our nation. But is this a wise and prudent thing? And if we start tearing down these monuments where does it lead and end? Should anything that offends us now be torn down? What about holocaust museums and displays? What about the money we use which has America's founders and past presidents faces on them? We'll discuss this in our second segment.

In our first segment we are joined by William Murray of The Religious Freedom Coalition. As our nation's media obsesses with the racial issue and the dysfunction of the Trump Administration it is easy to forget that thousands are dying as a result of violence in the Middle East, and that Christians around the world are being imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

Today, David Fiorazo has our Media Watch segment and then we address your questions and comments from this week. Some of the topics we will discuss include racism, the Solar Eclipse, dealing with an unbelieving spouse, the pressure of being a single Christian, and the self-righteous attitude some Christians have over doctrine.

In a couple days parts of the United States will experience a rare event: a total eclipse of the sun for a few minutes. While rare occurrences, these have happened many times throughout history; and some are calling this a fulfilled prophecy or a "sign from God" that something critical is about to happen. Opinions vary from a warning of Gods judgment to a sign of the approaching rapture of believers. Some are telling people to lighten up and stop reading something into a normal event. We'll look at what some Christian leaders are saying about the eclipse.

We also check in with author and talk radio host, Linda Harvey of Mission America. We discuss the LGBT agenda and the speed of the transgender movement, the hypocrisy of the left, as well as reactions to the KKK and protests in Virginia.

God is a God of order. While we will never completely understand His ways because of our limited human understanding, we find comfort in knowing he is unchangeable and perfectly consistent in His nature.

Our world is increasingly in a flux of confusion. Many atheists hate the God they claim does not exist, young people change their gender identity, and hate filled groups like the KKK marching to enforce "white supremacy." But this is what happens when mankind looks at himself as righteous instead of obeying God's laws. Dr. Frank Turek of Cross Examined Ministries joins us this morning to discuss the growing confusion in our nation and even within the professing Christian church in America.

You may be surprised to hear some provocative and perhaps controversial statements on today's program. One reason you may perceive them to be so is the fact that we rarely hear the truth - an honest evaluation of what's really happening in the education system in America today. My parents were career educators, both having retired in public education prior to 1988, and to be sure, they would not recognize what education has become in the last thirty years or so.

The current state of disarray in American schools today is concerning, but most of us understand we did not get here overnight. If you feel angry or defensive to the point of saying this is not really happening, it may be time to get more informed or involved in the political process which includes your local school board. This is what it really comes down to: parents are responsible for raising their children, and for Christians, that means bringing them up in the knowledge of the truth, in the worldview of biblical Christianity and the morality it teaches.
