Please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open to hear the prayer of Your servant which I am praying before You, day and night, on behalf of Your servants.

Reflection:

The next time you’re tempted to criticise what is wrong or condemn someone who has gone astray, pause and pay attention to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Rather than simply pointing out the problem, ask yourself if God is placing a burden on your heart and inviting you to stand in the gap through prayer, just as Nehemiah did.
