Randy! is a self-published memoir of a Maryland thirty-something jerk found by author Mike Sacks at a garage sale and re-published here for you. The audio was captured by the struggling poet and novelist Noah B., who is embedded in the mind and lifestyle of a perversely unexceptional American asshole named Randy.

Like Pale Fire if it were about a Danny McBride-style fuck-up, the story is both unmoored from time and eerily prescient of our own—one so stupid and unbelievable that it requires a writer like Mike Sacks to bring it to light.

Before StanLand, there was a story about Randy S, a 30-something from Poolesville, Maryland with too many ideas, too much confidence, and pretty much zero self-awareness. Randy hired a creative writing grad to follow him around and document his life. Those recordings ended up on 11 CDs at a garage sale, which were later picked up by Mike Sacks and released as an audio series.

In this special interview, StanLand Producer Marianna talks with author Mike Sacks about where Randy came from, why Dave Willis (co-creator of Aqua Teen Hunger Force) is the only person who could play him, and why you kind of feel sorry for Randy, even when he's saying the most heinous things.

Randy was originally released in 2018 but is now starting a new life as part of The Poolesville Chronicles, alongside StanLand and a brand new upcoming series currently under production!

From the producers of StanLand comes another installment of The Lost Podcasts of Zyngia: a newly unearthed audio archive that’s reshaping everything we thought we knew about the residents of Zyngia... and perhaps podcasting itself. This time, you may recognize a familiar con man’s voice: Professor Rimplepoor, Stan’s former instructor at the Wizened Wand School of Magical Enchantment and the wise old elf who once tried to rope Stan and Melanie into several multi-level marketing schemes. Now he's trying his hand at podcasting and he's joined by some very intriguing guests.

This audio is sourced from the Leapfrog children's digital recorder belonging to Stan Little, which was found in Poolesville, Maryland, and sent to the WSUS offices by a man named Randy. We're releasing them on this feed in hopes that they might help us to win even more awards. And for your entertainment, of course.

The mysterious toy recorder delivered to WSUS Raleigh continues to reveal strange new audio files. Once again, intern Casey Bingham brings us Dumpsters and Deadbeats, a role-playing game dreamt up by Chip McSparklebottom, half-leprechaun, reluctant heir to Stan Little, and self-proclaimed “dumpster master.”

In this second installment, Chip’s orc players, Ookla and Ghashara Bloodspear, claw their way out of a burning apartment only to face new horrors of modern Earth: dead phones, protestors at the library, complicated exes, and the eternal struggle of acquiring dinner. As their misadventures deepen, the orc couple discovers their own clothes have been stolen by teenage toughs. Will rolling twenties be enough to save them this time?

Welcome back to Zyngia. 

An ancient children’s toy from the 1990's was found by the side of the road in the same area where Melanie Hughes’s recorder was first discovered containing the StanLand tapes. The toy recorder was sent to us at WSUS Raleigh by a mysterious man calling himself "Randy". It contains strange new audio files that appear to be recorded by Zyngians.
