A new four-issue comic book series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy—Lost Contact, is set to launch this spring from IDW Publishing. Written by Ryan Cady and illustrated by Megan Levens, the series focuses on the daily lives of cadets at Starfleet Academy, particularly a "red squad" of five students who uncover a mystery involving a lost Deep Space Nine-era vessel and a conspiracy within Starfleet. The comic, which aims to capture the spirit of classic Starfleet Academy stories, will feature a new class of cadets and explore their training and adventures. The first issue is expected to debut in April.
