And with that, it's time for a deep dive into Star Wars Celebrations. Jason and Chris tell all about highlights and hi-jinks in Anaheim, we look back at the announcements, the panels, the guests, and the Collecting Track, as well as interviews with other intrepid Brits who made the long trek to California.

Rounding up the regular features, the boys delve into their recent purchases, delight in the Action Figure Face-Off, debate Richard's dodgy quiz questions, and discover some exciting new acquisitions from the wonderful World Wide Web.

Rebel Briefings sees the lads discuss how Star Wars is helping one little boy recover from the horrors of conflict, look at the upcoming Retro Collection figures from the Obi-Wan series, and uncover more treasures in the latest PropStore extravaganza.

No interview this month, as the lads look forward to Celebrating once again in London next year with the worldwide Star Wars community. What's there to look forward to? We'll give you a full rundown. The lads kick off by digging up some old fossils, as a tale of archaeological artefacts leads to a discussion on treasures lost and found.

A debate on Revenge items making it to store shelves is followed by latest acquisitions, with an update on last month’s Kneesaa challenge. Has Rich succumbed to all things furry? You’ll have to listen and find out!

Action Figure Face-off sees a General, a Dignitary, a Princess and a Bounty Hunter fight it out, with Jason surprising himself – and us – with his contribution. The lads discuss recent finds from around the Star Wars galaxy, and Pete’s quiz brings all to their knees(aa).

In Rebel Briefings there’s talk of exhibitions, auctions, and conventions past and present.

Rich interviews this month’s special guest, US collector David Quinn, talking podcasts, prototypes and production, Celebrations, and the Empire State Collectors Club.

The show wraps up in fruity fashion with the boys taking a deep dive into yoghurt, as they explore Dairy Time’s Jedi range, and ponder the sad lack of gooseberries today. All this and the usual fun and frivolities – look for the podcast in all the usual places.

A scandal in the community has the jaws wagging and heated discussion breaks out when a sacred law of collecting is broken. 

The licensee this episode is Adam Joseph Industries, resulting in the hosts setting themselves a collecting challenge. Dial in and find out exactly what it is, and will Richard be joining in?

Episode 92 - Brian’s Star Wars Toys - The Vintage Rebellion Podcast

Top o’ the mornin’ to ye! That jolly little leprechaun Richard introduces a show recorded on St Patrick’s Day, with special guest Brian Hickey hailing from the Emerald Isle. The lads come up with their best blarney as they take a look at the Irish Star Wars connection.

There’s TV talk, as we look back at the finale of The Book of Boba Fett, where Jason’s predictions came scarily true, and then forward to Obi-Wan, with a dive into the latest news and of course that trailer.

The lads run down a bumper list of latest acquisitions and give shout outs to some wonderful finds from around the collecting world, followed by a lively Action Figure Face-Off, and a quiz led by Pete, but with a strong Canadian flavour.

Rebel Briefings sees the boys hear an amazing Kiwi tale from Mark Catley, look ahead to a collection of conventions, go scouting for toys, discover a body in the River Thames, and ponder the sale of a grail.

Our main interview guest Brian Hickey is a photographer with an amazing eye for action shots of action figures, and a talent for recreating movie scenes in miniature. We talk about childhood, collecting, projects, and future plans.

The show rounds off not with a bang, but a bag, as the lads look at Frankel & Roth school bags and pencil cases. From Jason’s con bag to Spoons’ satchel, it’s a quick belt through bags and backpacks of all kinds.

The Vintage Rebellion Returns. Or is it the Return of the Vintage Rebellion, or maybe even the Revenge of... okay, okay you get the point. We blame Richard and possibly Jason for the lack of January release. Its a long story, but considering our length in show you don't need to hear it. Its Episode 91!

In Rebel Briefings we hear about the return of a long-awaited Christmas collecting event, with interviews and frivolity, as well as a round-up of upcoming book releases and some amazing custom playsets.

Special Guest this month is Mighty Mike Haines, discussing his recent find of prototype Micro Collection goodies, and his memories of growing up and collecting in that galaxy far, far away.

And in keeping with the seasonal theme, Pete leads the lads in a light hearted run through the 12 days of Christmas, Star Wars action figure stylee, some links obvious, others a tad more tenuous!

There’s a boisterous Action Figure Face-Off, and the team discuss some brilliant acquisitions from the past month, around the world of vintage collecting, including a great tale of a prototype action figure case which sat un-noticed in a collection for years.

Andy Spoons comes up trumps with a great quiz that has the guys really exercising the old brain cells.
